System problems continue to plague the Matronics Email server.
Incoming List mail was being rejected from about 12am Monday morning
until about 10am PDT Monday 4/11. It is unclear at this time what is
causing the system problem, but I am feverishly working on the issue.
I had to restore a list subscriptions database from an April 6th backup
because all of the list files had been truncated. I then reran all of
the subscribe/unsubscribe requests since the 6th. You may have just
received a subscribe/unsubscribe request and the FAQ if you've
subscribed/unsubscribed since the 6th.
At this time new posts are being processed and operation should be
considered normal.
More as information developes...

PAPPY,
Sorry to hear about Ray Gage's 52tw. Don't get the Creek's news as
rapidly down here in Oak Hill International. Please expand on the event
with a bit more information if you will. Was this another unnecessary,
unfortunate event which could have been prevented with more
training?Yeah, I know, more training always helps. Please give me the
straight skinny on what happened. "Yee Gads, Captain, shore is gusty,
aint it?

nice dinner you've been promising your wife or S.O., or
both!.....sorry. :)
Highlights for this year include:
-FAST Ground School for new formation pilots (Wed. afternoon)
-FAST Lead Pilot Seminar (Thursday evening)
-Tactical Formation training (for those FAST qualified pilots.
-Friday evening aerial demonstrations by MiG-21, L-29, Yak-9, Yak-11,
CJ-6, Yak-55 & Yak-18T, and mass formations of CJ's and Yaks
-aerobatics box over the field
-Largest ever gathering of Yak-50's (9 or more)
-Willy Driscoll, one of the most decorated Naval aviators of the past
50 years, will be the keynote speaker at the Saturday night awards
banquet.
-Presentations by Alan Silver, American Propeller, Jim Fackler (prop
balancing and jet engine vibration analysis), and others.

Herb:
The traditional all-round oil was called Corvus Oil made by Texaco. Now
it's called Canopus 13 by Texaco. It is a light oil used for concrete
forms.
Some people have tried everything from vegetable oil to Corvus and then
ended up with the least expensive method that smokes great: 50/50 mix of
diesel oil and cheap hydraulic fluid ($19.00) at most Wal-Mart stores.
I bought a 5 gal pail of Super*Dri smoke oil from Tower Hobbies (dot com)
and it is fine for as little as I use the system (I want to show the smoke
system works during demo flights and little more). It works great and is
supposed to leave less oil residue on the aircraft. However, Super*Dri is
expensive.

It seems to help with hemorrhoids but it only exacerbates jock itch. Sorry.

Sorry Doc, but I can't claim any experience with vaginitis. I wouldn't want to
promulgate any incorrect information here.
I am currently testing it to see if it can replace Rogane in smoothing out my
hair and reducing hair loss though. After one application I can attest to the
fact that it completely eliminated all hair loss! There can be no other
explanation than MMO.
I have also seen it used to increase mobility of legless reptiles. As a
legless reptile mobility enhancement lubricant (LRMEL) it is unparalleled.
I am working on a book: "101 Uses for a Bottle of MMO," and would appreciate
more anecdotal data on how MMO has improved the lives of anyone on this list.
Keeps those cards and letters coming!

What kind of "doc" are you? An expert in the field. I am a
gynecologist (no jokes!) And I'm familiar with all types of OTC
"bottom-end" products. MMO seems to be good for what ails - so...
Seriously what specialty are you? Hope to see you at MTW/OSH if you

Hey Guys,
Someone wrote that MMO was recommended for Gyneccological problems with
Wife or S/O. In my lexicon S/O stands for Second Officer and if I start
pushing MMO on my S/O, Crew Schedule and the Chief Pilots Office will
brand me a" prevert", which I aint.; This could damage a fellow's
reputation without justification or, are you guys just blowin smoke?

As for the additional uses of MMO. Hear the it is alittle rough coming out
after a high caloric. It is so slick that you can follow the purple squirts
all the way to the head. Hear it causes an explosive expulsion.
Tried it on the neighboers cat. You know the one that always leaves muddy
paw prints on your freshly waxed sports car. It was slick going in. Just
needed a good set of gloves and small funnel to get down hooked up to a
really small NG tube. It caused a high velocity purple haze as it squirted
past! The last time I saw that cat it was dipping its but in the gold fish
pool next door. Have not seen it leaving muddy paw prints on my car since.
Now I just need to get out the rubbing compound to buff out the scratches
from it lauching from my hood in that purple cloud of flatulence!
Seriously, so after all is said, I do reccommend MMO for ridding your
carport of pesky cats. It's also pretty effective on bird dogs that like to
howl at the moon too. That's another story though.
As for lubricating the upper cylinders on the M-14, I've used it ever since
mine came out of the box a year ago. I can tell the engine does run alittle
rougher when I can't put MMO in during a fuel stop at elsewhere airport.
Found that I need to keep the dose in the tanks to 4-6 ounces. Found that I
could make the engine run rough on MMO once by putting 6 ounces per side
with only 20 liters left in the tank and taxiing slowly to the fuel pit. Or
was it the low idling that did it???
As for what kind of Doc am I? -- I am an anesthesiologist in my real life
passing gas for a living and stamping out pain, I am also a flight surgeon
in the Alabama Air National Guard where I function as the State Air Surgeon
and am a Senior FAA flight surgeon. Have not tried MMO as an anesthetic
though?? Hum, outa make a great lubricate for the ET tube. It's so slick
though. It will really make it tough to keep the tube from slipping out.
Heh, just thought of another use for MMO-- to lubricate the glove for the
finger wave??!! No, seriously--don't like em and don't give em except when
forced to.
Nuff said, I think this thread has digressed into a purple haze.

Anesthesiologist and an ANG flight surgeon. That's where the Vipercdoc call
sign came from. On active duty was known as VD. The wife and other squadron
wives kinda had a problem with that call sign. The name tag with "VD"
really got their attention at the "Big House" on Friday night. But we as
all know after a few beers, even a ugly girl turns pretty ( could give a
damned what a ugly guy does). Before the night was over, they thought it
was cute or was it the parting the eyebrows with my tounge while "Bat
Hanging" that did it?
Not going to make it to OSH this year. Have a bunch of call issues.

Doc
You can lead a horse to water but you can't make him drink........but
you can lead Brian to MMO with satisfactory results. He likes the minty
flavor to boot :)
I've recently experienced the results of an upper cylinder lubricant in
my 52 and it's a good thing.
If you think about it, an upper cylinder lubricant is beneficial in a
number of ways.
1) It helps to keep rings from sticking.
2) It lubricates the valves and cylinder walls (prolonging the life of
your engine).
3) I think it helps equalize running compression ratios.
4) It's made for a "seat-of-the-pants" difference in how smooth my
engine runs.
I suspect you'd be better off running a good synthetic 2 stroke oil
instead of MMO but that gets expensive in a hurry.
But, please, don't take my word for it. Try running some good quality,
synthetic 2 stroke oil in your gas at least once just to test the
theory. What I did was to use one quart of BEL-RAY synthetic 2 stroke
oil per tank. The tanks were full at the time. Let me know if your
engine runs any smoother.
