I just had a phenomenal smoke system custom manufactured by Cliff Coy's
people in Swanton, Vt. for a Yak-55. You might want to call Cliff for
details. See www.gesoco.com for their contact info.

Mark Jefferies sold me mine.
It was a very easy install...the bolts for the tank fit into the same
holes the flight data recorder came out of...for instance. The Colorado
Yak Pac dudes say it's the most smoke they have seen compared to the
systems they have installed. The system came with easy to read and
understand install instructions complete with illustrations.
I'm happy, Rick B

Sir;
Not the way I have it set up. It is 8.4 gal so maybe 30 minutes -
better than not having the spare gas I guess.
My 55 has (I'm told) 44 gallons and after sitting on my 'chute for 2.5
hours I'm ready for a break - ischial tuberosities - you know...

Anyone have a source for a screw on schrader valve filler? I need to

hold it on up to about 550-650psi.

Rich,
Ah, the infamous sore ass syndrome after sitting on a chair pack for 2.5 h.
Damn, your baldder makes it that long?
Hum, I smell a new thread! What chair pack cushion helps that pain in the
ass you get flying XC? And what brand of condom or foley catheter allows
you to fly for 2.5 hours!!??? For the uninformed-- it's the "Hooter Hose".
Personally, I have the 2 1/2 in. space age foam cushion that was added to
my National seatpack. Also, trying to use a piddle pack in a YAK is an
invitation for a yellow liquid disaster!
Anyway thanks and fly safe.

Hey that sounds like fun!
Maybe we should have a contest at All Red Star to see who can hold the
most pressure on with
a hold-on type filler.... kinda like a yak-maintenance-olympics.....
there must be other strange things we do without the exact right tools,
too....
any ideas?

p.s. I need one of the adapters, too... and the correct procedure for
servicing the struts....
in 5 easy steps..... types of hydraulic fluid to use....
(5606?)....how to build your own nitrogen regulator that shows
pressure in the struts as well as the tanks.... that kind of stuff...

I have access to a few high pressure schrader fill attachments. How many
are needed? As for the gages and all of that....
you're on your own. Contact me off list for how many you'll need.

I normally can hold 750 PSI but all that MMO on my fingers, well you
know since we use it for everything now, things are a little slick.

Amen.
Doc;
I got an Oregon Aero pad for the SU-29 (it uses a back pack chute) and
even at 1/2 inch it is great. The next long flight in the -55 I'll put
it on top of the seat pack in it. Comments to follow at that time.
Bladder? I (probably like you) have inserted a few (as a Fire-Medic)
catheters and the thought of subjecting myself...they don't put anywhere
enough lidocaine in the lube for me, Valium, and morphine are watched
too closely. :0) I guess from years of corporate flying...I can do as
much as 5 hours - painfully.
Respectfully, Rick
