Hi Guys,
We have just fitted smoke to our Aircraft and wanting to be a bit different
to the rest was wanting to colour the smoke in the Nanchang but no one knows
how to do it.
Was hoping someone on the list might be able to point me in the right
direction.
Regards
Lance Robb

It's always been my understanding that colored smoke was achieved through
the use of flares attached to wing tips and not through a smoke system.
I've been wrong before and may well be wrong about this.

Hi Jim,
Thanks for the reply.....I wasn't sure if there was a new additive or
something available you guys might have known of.......looks like smoke
generators are the only option but too expensive for me......

Poor Pappy, his CJ just doesn't like leaving Florida. This
time he made it to Southern Georgia before "Dede's 3-toed
Dragon" went bust, again. I've lost count now :) No it
wasn't panic in his voice when he called, "B" Captains NEVER
panic...Frustration, Agitation, yes. ("B" = B-707, B-727,
B-747, B-777, B-24 and Be-shitzled).
Wiring harness went craps on the right mag; autoplug
conversion on the way from Dennis. So much for Springfield.
My theory is that Jim's CJ was born and bred in Southern
China and hates to fly on Northern headings for too long.

Hey Guys.
You ought to feel some compassion for Pappy as a "B" Captain. He actually
is the product of a deprived early life. I mean, nothing but Boeing and
Consolidated can leave one feeling , well, EXCLUDED and somewhat less
than well rounded. He really needs to be exposed to the rest of the big
iron manufacturers. Remember., there's Douglas, Lockheed, Martin, Convair
FROGGIES, what a piece of work they are). Such an exposure limited to
Boeing design philosophy is enough to make a fellow feel DEPRIVED as well
as Excluded . Further, I'd bet poor ole Pappy can fit all his type
ratings on a single page license. That's enough to give a guy a complex..
And now he's reduced to flying a Chink made knock off of a YAK-- with a
nose wheel yet . So go easy on this old fellow who can take only so
much of this deprivation. Let's show him a little compassion.
Regards to all.
