LOL! No, the "old man" was flying the pants off of the -55....perhaps the finest stick and rudder pilot in the world, Bud is pushing 70 and flies better than most acro pilots half his age! A comment made by TJ perhaps sums it up best.... > I think we were all stunned by Bud and Ross's airshow display. > It is the single finest display of airmanship I have ever witnessed. It was freakin' amazing! 'Nuf said.... Barry PS If you weren't there, we had 3 camera coverage of the air show for the DVD, which should be available sometime this summer... ________________________________ Message 2 _____________________________________ Time: 11:35:57 AM PST US From: N13472@aol.com Subject: Re: Yak-List: The Granley's --> Yak-List message posted by: N13472@aol.com In a message dated 5/18/2005 10:07:56 A.M. I can offer fuel for the show, oil and smoke oil. I can also offer hotel rooms for the first 2 to sign up. We have several local yak drivers who will have accommodations for the others. The dates are June 24 for practice and June 25 - 26 for the show. We will be working with Team Red in the concept developed by Jeff Linebaugh where we fly a mass formation with a 4-ship opposing demo team. Please contact me ASAP if you are interested. _aviatr@aol.com_ (mailto:aviatr@aol.com) Scott "KONG" McMillan RMRFI Air Talent Coordinator _www.rmrfi.org_ (http://www.rmrfi.org) a.k.a. As you all know, Bob was terribly ill, and Ann suffered mightily with him. Bob is truly an American hero; his dedication to his country through his continued testing of the B-29 following the loss of Boeing's chief test pilot in an all-too-frequent B-29 fire, certainly led to a shortening of the war and the saving of countless American and allied lives. But we will miss Bob and Ann personally, more for their friendship, their warmth, and their unflagging support of CAF and their flying and aviation-related friends. Blue Skies, Bob and Ann. I understand that a memorial service will be held in a month or so. Of course I will advise of the date and place as soon as it is known.
