As of tomorrow, my ISP is "outsourcing" all of us Dial-ups to Earthlink but my address is not supposed to change. I did not know they made nomex Velcro, so I asked the question of the life support shop troops. They do not. Try a Cloth Barn or the likes. Saw a huge box of it at Sam's the other day. It was like 30 feet of 4" wide stuff. Had some really neat little Velcro circular buttons with adhesive on the back. Great for sticking a small green UV NVG compatible Peli light onto the bannet clip of your helmet. Just for alittle extra cockpit lighting that points where you point your head. I will be getting all of the ground work done for the week soon. Russ will be here as air boss for at least part of the week - we will talk this weekend to nail down the times. For those of you who came last year - thanks as the first RPA I attended was the one one I helped put on. I am always open to suggestions for a better event. So please e-mail if you have ideas. I will post all of the hotel, car rental, FBO info soon. I have already rec'd several event registrations - so if you are coming, send those out ASAP so I can get a better head count. We will have an RV in the warbird area at OSH. I have a site there and will park a motor home for the whole week. So the non formation guys who stay in OSH and the MTW flyers can come over after the formation for the afternoon if so inclined - hopefully a big YAK/CJ? RPA presence will be seen with a visible "HQ" Contact me thru the yak list or offline if you have suggestions. I'm sure that Tom has some kind of anti-solicitation clause in his employment contract with Cannon, so he probably won't be advertising his move. However, doesn't mean that we can't contact him to "explore options". Let's do what we can to support him in his new endeavor! Dee L. Will we have an aerobatic box at MTW? Could be lots of fun and we could stage an impromptu air show for the town and local eaa chapter. tc >>> drc@wscare.com 5/19/2005 8:25 AM >>> --> Yak-List message posted by: Herb Coussons Guy- MTW/OSH is a little over 2 months away. First of all, a great big thank you to Cynthia and her crew from South Valley Mobile Television for the great effort they put into it. I hope we all appreciate the effort she puts into it, at her own personal expense. There was almost 100 hours of video shot and it will take some time to sort through it all, but the end product should be pretty amazing. I know it will be worth the wait and we should see it in mid-summer. For those of you who participated at ARS, the DVD is included in your event fee. For those of you who want extras or were not there, it's $25/copy. Gang, I could not be more pleased with how ARS 2005 turned out. You all were a ton of fun and more importantly conducted yourselves in a professional manner....well, at least when you were flying! Rumor has is that my political enemies are already bribing Cynthia for copies of the carrier landings! ;) What are carrier landings, you ask? No explanation can do it justice...you'll just have to wait for the DVD to come out.... Planning for 2006 is already underway. Speaking of which I'll be sending out a brief comment card to help us improve the event. Your input is appreciated! Just ask Tom Elliot if we listen.... ;) Cheers, Barry ________________________________ Message 12 ____________________________________ Time: 05:56:07 PM PST US From: num1pilot@AOL.COM Subject: Yak-List: ALL RED STAR VIDEO streaming on the Internet!!! --> Yak-List message posted by: num1pilot@aol.com Wondering what you missed at All Red Star 2005? Well, if you have broadband you can check out the teaser video that South Valley Mobile Television quickly compiled on site this past Saturday for the banquet. It is only a teaser and there is much more to be added and improved. I can't give you a production date, but I can tell you it will take over a month for it to be ready for distribution. ARS 2005 attendees will get mailed a copy as it was part of the registration. If you want to buy one, contact Cynthia at Cynthia@SouthValleyMobileTelevision.com Enjoy! I can't wait to see you all there next year! http://muzility.com/cgi-bin/viewer.cgi?code=flight/svmtv&format=&speed=&size=x Hartley Postlethwaite "Postal" ARS 2005 Air Operations Officer HAP1995@yahoo.com ________________________________ Message 13 ____________________________________ Time: 08:52:16 PM PST US From: "Daniel Fortin" Subject: Yak-List: Redstar photo --> Yak-List message posted by: "Daniel Fortin" Folks, Another gang I hang with are airplanes photo fanatics.
