--> Yak-List message posted by: JandEFinley@comcast.net Hi listers,...I've been away from the list for awhile since I am now an IAR823 guy trying to reconcile the purr of a flat engine with my ole M-14p. I must say that my CJ has a very much better home now that it had with me in Florida. Did you know we have a profilition of "walking catfish"? We have found several of the sturdy critters that have walked out of their beloved pond and have been stranded in the street.Baked to a crisp~! But enough of this,... Q. 1, I'll direct this to Brian..What mix rate do you favor for the MMO? Do you reccommend it for flat engines? Is it a viable substitute for Avblend?, etc. etc. Note 2. Go to google and type in FAR 8130.2E it will bring up the EAA website with FAR 8130.2E at the top. Look on page 133 to 146 and it will answer all the questions some of you have concerning EXP/EXHIB catagories. You may need to use the glosary to decode the "governmentese" used so well by our verbally challenged FAA bretheren. The whole thing is 297 pages long and unless you enjoy this kind of thing, I would save the bulk for a very dark, stormy night after you have run out of refreshments. I did get to S'nF and really enjoyed the RPA guys.(again Bless you all for letting me pollute the formation with an A/C that resembles an oversexed Mooney. I loved every minute of it..... --> Yak-List message posted by: "Craig Payne" <cpayne@joimail.com> John, MMO and AvBlend belong to a class of additives known as "solvents". These solvents are really distillate products possessing really small molecular structure. They break down gunk and carbon deposits and even get into the "pores" of metal surfaces. What they really seem to do best is lubricate the "top end", valve guides, etc. Since the IAR is not certified, you can use what you want to. Instead of AvBlend for certified, "Top Lube" is the same thing for less money but can only be used on Experimentals. For racing, I used Top Lube with graphite as I intended to run wide full open for 20 minutes at a time. These are old fashioned additives with no "space age" PFTE or other gunk to mess up your engine. Available from Spruce. PS: UFO's do exist, it's just that they have cloaking devices now. I also have this prime piece of Florida "conservation area" for sale too.... Craig Payne cpayne@joimail.com

The cockney rhyming slang for Yank is Septic Tank. -----Original Message----- From: owner-yak-list-server@matronics.com [mailto:owner-yak-list-server@matronics.com] On Behalf Of Fraser, Gus I used to have an old Squadron CO (RAF) who was ex battle of Britain who said "Well the Tommy Tanks [Yanks in cockney slang] have been late turning up for the last two but they promise to be really punctual for the next one." :)) Gus Fraser

Dave. -----Original Message----- Guys, Just looking for a show of hands, how many of you would be interested to visiting me in the Great White North? It would take shape as an informal weekend fly-in. Cheers, Dan Fortin
