Check your oil screen for metal.
If you are making metal, one of the first indications of that failure will
be the inability to cycle the prop.

Joe,
I have not checked the coarse pitch. It will change with the fine pitch. The
delta is determined by a ring at the base of the piston. Factory stuff.
But I believe that I have determined the problem. Craig pointed to the oil
pressure and Doug suggested to use the screen at the base of the prop
governor to check oil pressure. Put the two together and you have a possible
area of concern. If the screen is plugged and the pressure from the gov. is
adequate, then you have in a sense a one way valve. Oil pressure large
enough to force it's way through, but not enough to return. But that doesn't
explain why it works on the ground. The fines in the screen may have time to
settle out on the ground. I'll find out Saturday and post.

=A0Two's in...
You will soon see a lot of people wearing Red on
Fridays. Here's why.
The Americans, who support our troops, are the silent
majority. We are not "organized" to reflect who we are, or to reflect
what our opinions are.
Many Americans, like yourself, would like to start a
grassroots movement using the membership of the Special Operations
Association, and Special
Forces Associations, and all their friends, simply,
to recognize that Americans support our troops. We need to inform the
local VFW's and
American Legion, our local press, local TV, and
continue carrying the message to the national levels as we start to get
this going. Our idea of
showing our solidarity and support for our troops is
starting Friday, and
continuing on each and every Friday, until this is
over, that every red -
blooded American who supports our young men and
women, WEAR SOMETHING RED.
Word of mouth, press, TV -- let's see if we can make
the United States, on any given Friday, a
sea of red much like a home
football game at a university.
If every one of our memberships share this with other
acquaintances, fellow
workers, friends, and neighbors, I guarantee that it
will not be long before the USA will be covered in RED - and make our
troops know there are
many people thinking of their well-being. You will
feel better all day Friday when you wear Red!
Let's get the word out and lead by example; wear RED
on Fridays.
I sent this out to everyone on my email list;
hopefully, you will too.
Please forward this to everyone you know!!
Wear Red on Fridays ....
SUPPORT OUR TROOPS, WE LIVE IN THE LAND OF THE FREE, BECAUSE OF THE
BRAVE.
FOR US, THEIR BLOOD RUNS RED!!
GOD BLESS AMERICA.

RPAers,
If you are getting the newsletter and other bulletins from the RPA, but they are
not arriving as full color "web page" looking products with pictures, etc.
But may be arriving blank or just plain text only, email me off list.
This is caused by your email software not allowing HTML (web based) email in, and
can usually be changed in your spam or custom email settings.
The newsletter has a link to the text only version, but who wants a newsletter
about flying with no color or pics...

Barry,
That's a no brainer.. My squadron's colors are Red. We have a Red T Shirt
Friday every Friday. As a Guardsman, I and all my squadron mates, ramp
rats, support troops and not least, the families appreciate the support of
the American public. There is not greater place to be born. The freedoms we
have are unparalleled!
Our hearts and prayers go out to our British neighbors. We are with them
and this radical ideal has to be eliminated from the world. This is infidel
(Christian Crusader) against the Islamist. The seat of all this pain arises
from IRAN. The radical Mullahs with their theocracy are the ultimate
preparators. Yes, there is a relationship between Al Quaeda, Hezballa, and
Iran. The root of terrorism lies in Iran but Seria(sp) also is a safe
heaven for the terrorist. Let these people get weapons of mass destruction
particularly nuclear capability, 3500 and 50 dead ( at this count) will be
a shadow of the dead and injured if they get their hands on a nuke. If Iran
gets that capability, they will use it. Do not be fooled by their rhetoric.
Their hatred of the Israel and the US is absolute given. We have to stand
firm and keep taking the fight to them on their turf. After all, it is
better to kill them on their turf not on ours!
They need to see our resolve and the Red Friday's around the world will be
a start.

Sorry RW but that's just me. Its just one of those airplanes that don't look
good unless it scream macho military.
One guy has his painted like a Navy F4U he saw once. There is one guy out
there with Russian Mig 'winter camo' and one with a desert storm paint job.
None these are authentic of course, but the airplanes sure wears them very
