--> Yak-List message posted by: "Fraser, Gus" <gus.fraser@gs.com> How about Most 'dangerous' RPA member ? For qualifying details see http://notasukhoi.com/photo//General%20Aviation/IcemanTheLaterYears.ram Who is the Most 'dangerous' RPA member ? The public wants to know :))) Qualifications. 1. Ex military Jockey. 2. Current flying school bus pusher (Airline). Or the least back elevator range. This award would be awarded to those of extreme stature (I qualify) My IAC chapter has the wrong way Corrigan award for those who don't read the direction of that 1/4 roll on the vertical correctly and zero out on the rest of the sequence, and we have a lot of contenders, me included. For RPA this would be the pilot who breaks R R R R Right when lead calls L L L L L eft. The winner of this award will be obvious and easy spotted by the letters L and R tattooed to the back of the relevant hands. OK enough foolishness I really have to earn a living. --> Yak-List message posted by: "Roger Doc Kemp" <viperdoc@mindspring.com> Gus, I certainly hope there are no "Wrong Way Corrigan's" in the crowd for Red Air. They will find themselves going home earlier than planned (hopefully by themselves and alive). A Right break with a called Left break would be an unforgivable violation of the ROE subject to crucifixion by a spinning M-14 prop. I believe that would qualify as buffonery above and beyond the call of intellegence. I think that episode of "natural selection" has already taken place in the experimental RV/ Rutan formation clinic/practice earlier this summer. Lets keep this to mundane buffonery like forgetting to close the rear canopy when flying solo, toilet paper hanging from the crack of your flight suit (girlypilot), flying square spam can patterns for the break, or after KO for a 2 v 2 joining up on the wrong lead! None of this breaking into the flight crap that's not buffonery...That is just plain stupidity. I have a gyro horizon, (Russian style) that is for sale and .should be compatible with all yaks and CJ's. It was manufactured in Czechoslovakia in 1980 and is working fine. My IAR has 575 total hours, but God only knows how all the parts got together. I'm asking $600. If interested, please contact me off list..... --> Yak-List message posted by: "Paul" <3bar@telus.net> Hello Gang, We are a little over a month away from our 6 th Annual Yak "Discovery" Fly-in event. We will be hosting a FAST clinic and hope to get more guys qualified as we will have IP pilots on hand as this is an RPA event. We will also be holding an acro clinic and of course, lots of flying in the sunny South Okanagan. Sat Nite BBQ and good entertainment. Registration for rooms at the Southwind Inn are recommended as we will be in the wine touring season and the Okanagan is very busy at that time of year. # is 1-800-661-9922 and refer to the Yak Fly-in. Dates again are 23-24-25 Sep 05. OIliver, BC, Canada - CAU3 and customs 8-5 Mon-Fri at Penticton, CYYF Fuel pricing is a little volatile at present, however the Airport will still offer the 5 cent discount. Any questions, call me @ 250-535-0395. Cheers, Paul Dumoret
