Frank and group,
I have read the recent posts about exhaust systems and thought I would
provide an update on the systems made by Gary Green of Radial Exhaust in Jumping
Branch, WV. Gary has decided to retire and build his Murphy Moose. As some may
know, we manufacture the Pitts Model 12 kit aircraft as part of our business
in addition to our aircraft restoration services. Radial Exhaust was our
vendor for exhaust systems for the model 12. We also support Murphy Moose builders
with air systems, engine conversion fittings and exhaust systems. So,
because we did not want to be without exhaust for our customers, we bought the
portion of Radial Exhaust Systems that pertained to the M14 and AI-14 engines.
We
now have the jigs, fixtures and materials here and are in the process of
getting it all up and running. Currently, we have 11 systems on backorder, some
12, some Moose and will fill these b/o first.
We have the tooling for and can provide exhaust systems (in the near future
as we get ramped up) for the following aircraft/engines:
Pitts Model 12 with or w/o heat muff
Murphy Moose with dual heat muffs
Radial Rocket
Yak 52 w or w/o heat muff
CJ-6A AI-14 engine
CJ-6A M14P engine
Maybe Yak 50/54/55 as well.
Soon to add:
SU-26
Su-29/31
All systems are 321 Stainless steel with slip joints that are virtually leak
free.
Sincerely,
Kevin Kimball, VP Engineering

Guys,
The photos from OSH are a combination of 2004 and 2005 in one set. I
sent them in 2 separate set but they got blended by matronics - so if
you see your plane and you weren't there this year its a 2004
picture. Enjoy
Herb

Dear Listers,
I will be taking the Matronics Web Server down for a few hours today,
Tuesday September 6 2005 for a chassis upgrade. Archive browsing and
searching along with subscription services will be unavailable for
about 2 hours beginning at 5pm PDT. Incoming and outgoing email will
be processed normally during the upgrade. Please check the Matronics
System Status Page for updates (although this page resides on the web
server and won't be available during the upgrade):

Guys,
Just got off the phone with Charlie Lynch, as you know he and Sean are quite
busy dotting all the i and crossing all the t for this year's Reno races,
but they haven't forgot about our little get together for the end of the
month. Charlie tells me the hotel info will be published before the end of
the week.
Oh, by the way. Got the days off I requested and will definately (WX
permitting) be at KGED.
Keep the blue side down...
