Its sort of my way of publicly thanking everyone that took a minute to show their appreciation for the Lists. Won't you take a moment and assure that your name is on that List of Contributors (LOC)? As a number of members have pointed out over the years, the List seems at least - if not a whole lot more - valuable as a building/flying/recreating/entertainment tool as your typical magazine subscription! Please take minute and assure that your name is on this year's LOC? Show others that you appreciate the Lists. Making a Contribution to support the Lists is fast and easy using your Credit card or Paypal on the Secure Web Site: http://www.matronics.com/contribution or by popping a personal check in the mail to: Matronics Email Lists c/o Matt Dralle PO Box 347 Livermore CA 94551-0347 I would like to thank everyone that has so generously made a Contribution thus far in this year's List Fund Raiser! Remember that its YOUR support that keeps these Lists going and improving! Don't forget to include a little comment about how the Lists have helped you! Listen to this guy folks, we can live lives and enjoy expanding member services without crawling in to a nuclear fallout shelter. A member emailed me asking why he could not see the images from the RPA in his e-coms, only the text - his software was configured to force him to decide to download & view the full version first as a self protection step, so I recopy Deons salient points for him and others who want to enjoy their association communications. The by-law election and very soon a large-complicated-to-manage 6 region and 3 national board election will be conducted with a fraction of the manhours due to this technology. For FAST rated pilots, e-coms will help us manage a new airshow scheduling system. It allows several widely dispersed volunteers to quickly create & easily dissiminate assoc communications. Its use is on the increase to enhance member services, I would like to ask members to support it via Deons suggestions if your correctly concerned. Also, if your system software baffles you & you don't see the full color E-Com version for any reason, perhaps just a text version, at the bottom of every e-com you will always see this message: "Trouble viewing this email? Go To: http://www.... Where future communications are posted in full. Some of Deons post: +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Try and do the following just as a suggestion: 3) Make sure you email program (Outlook, etc) does not load the links to external sources by default - your HTML email them becomes just a text email that is locally formatted. (you may/should see empty markers, or image boxes where the images were placed) You can then decide if you want to load the nice pics or not, just right click and say download pictures - easy. 4) Try Microsoft AntiSpyware - you can download it from the Microsoft website for free. 5) Make sure you have some anti-virus software. 6) Software such as ZoneAlarm can help you identify programs installed on you system that are trying to get to the outside world without you permission. ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Please email me off-list on this subject, as I often miss several days postings. I will continue to work to increase the capabilites of the association to provide the services to the members with the help of our volunteers.
