Congratulations for Warbird Awards to:
Steve Dalton for Best Yak-52
Ron Lee for Best CJ-6
Craig Ekberg for a Preservation Award
Steve has Serial #1 Yak-52TW. Ron Lee and Craig Ekberg keep their CJ-6A's in Torrance,
California. Both planes have the M-14P conversion. Ron has the Focke Wulf
version of the 3-blade MT prop while Craig runs the -27 model.
This year, WB Judges decided to separate "us" into CJ-6 class and Yak-52 Class
due to the increasing numbers showing up at Warbird of America events. The Chief
judge's comment was that the Quality of restoration was improving. I took that
to mean 'Judging Quality' and not "quality" in the common usage.

Thank you Dennis....as always, you have answered my question well and I look forward
to your visit in the next month or so when you can run me through the engine
course in person. That should be AWESOME and I will either have even more
