My attendance at this year's event was traded for an Alaskan Cruise later this week for my Spouse and I. Po' boys can't do it all, we have to pick and chose. I heard about that straight CJ that Doug bought down for Barry, the one from the Chinese demo team. Might be a good platform for a "killer" CJ. Craig Payne cpayne@joimail.com

Hi Preston; Do yourself a big favor and buy the CJ6 Component Overhaul Manual from Doug Sapp. It has the propellor information you need. If you do not have the Tech. Specifications Manual you should get that as well. Once you have that information at hand I would be happy to try and answer your questions. There is no specific torque value for the blade bearing retaining nut, there is a specific blade turning torque to be set by that nut. Cheers; Walt ----- Original Message ----- From: PHCarter@aol.com To: yak-list@matronics.com Sent: Saturday, May 13, 2006 3:50 PM Subject: Yak-List: V530 Propeller Installation When installing the V530 hub onto the engine what torque values shouldI use? When installing the blades onto the hub, what torque value on the large retainer nuts should I shoot for? The retainer nuts, when I took them off, were very, very tight and theblade roller bearings were not turning as freely as I would expect. Ivery much doubt I will reassemble the retainer nuts to the previous marks because they appeared to be too tight (probably back off 1/8" to 3/16" from the previous mark). This means my locking plates for the retainer nuts will not work. Do I just modify or remake my locking plates? What has been your experience? Thanks for the input in advance. Great weather out west! Need to get back in the sky! Preston Carter Yak-52, N6209F
