Might be a good platform for a "killer" CJ. I think you're right Craig. This airplane, by virtue of never being flown by cadets and a '64 vintage - when workmanship was at it's prime - makes it the straightest and cleanest CJ I've ever seen. My experience pales in comparison to Doug's, however, and he say not only is it that, but it is also the tightest one he's ever flown. 5 hours of flying down from Washington and absolutely clean on the belly and showing 16 liters on the dipstick! One liter burned in 5 hours.... This is one of 3 former demo team aircraft we have for sale. By virtue of it being stripped and very low time (1600 TTAF, 150SNEW engine) is available for $75K. Please contact me off list for more info about these aircraft, and our completely overhauled airframes. Just moving into our new 8400 sq. ft. facility in Chino....exciting times! And our door is always open for fellow Changers and Yakistas.... ;) Cheers, Barry Barry Hancock President Worldwide Warbirds, Inc. 1-866-L39-JETS cell (949) 300-5510 www.worldwidewarbirds.com www.sharedsquadrons.com www.cj6.com

--> Yak-List message posted by: Brian Lloyd <brian-yak@lloyd.com> I want to thank all of you who have written offering to install the OV protection module for the CJ6A. Tom Elliot has offered and I know he has the technical chops to get it in and working without a lot of help. I will be sending the module to him. I only ask him to take a lot of pictures and to take good notes on what he runs into during the installation. I will pull these together into a set of installation instructions and get that info back to Bob Nuckolls so that he can release it as a complete kit. I will keep you apprised. Thanks again. A note on the straight CJ that Doug brought to ARS... it is beautiful and has one of the best airframes I've seen. It was a close second in my final decision making before choosing to purchase Jeff Linebaugh's excellent machine. Also, check out the "emergency brake" mod with the red handle in the middle of the panel that Doug put in. It may be the next thing that we all "just gotta have". - Val

Below is a link to my website with a bunch of pictures from ARS Porterville and Desert Thunder 2. I don't have enough space on my server for the actual images, but the picture pages have decent size thumbs. This is just a preview so that the guys that I promised pictures know I have not forgotten. As soon as I get server space, I will report back with the location so that full size image downloads will be available. http://home.sandiego.edu/~btucker-03/ -Tom Elliott, Ernie Rischar, Mark Guthrie, and Mark Weedhas - please e-mail me - your e-mail addresses bounced back. Subject: 2006 All Red Star (Anyone seen Mr. Payne?)
--> Yak-List message posted by: "doug sapp" <rvfltd@televar.com> Al, Not much to see that would show up in photos, except that it is nearly 100% free of any rash of any kind, it is simply very low time and very clean, and 100% stock. It's seldom that you can find a CJ that you can strip all the paint off of and not find either a bunch of bondo, stop drilled cracks or signs of old skin work. This CJ is 100% stock, every skin has the proper anodized treatments, there are two very small doublers just behind the top cowl and that's the only repairs I could find on the aircraft. It flies hands off and burns little if any oil which is absolutely amazing to me, but since it has a "since NEW" engine on it, maybe I should not be too surprised, anyway it should give us all hope. On the way down from WA it was burning about 11.5 GPH @ 145KTS. I don't think I have ever flown a CJ that was so solid in all respects. The brake mod worked well, and will be available for sale in a month or so. Placement of the actuating handle will change to a more convenient location, most likely just aft of the throttle handle. Hal's CJ: (I saw it on the way back from ARS) but was sworn to not utter a word. I can tell you my reaction to looking at the aircraft was pretty much described by alternating words like "HOLEY SH*!" and "WOW!! --> Yak-List message posted by: Brandon Tucker <btucke73@yahoo.com> Click on the link below to my ARS Porterville picture page. All the links work with the exception of the formation challenge page - I'll fix that when I get a chance. The images are full size and can be downloaded from the site. This is a temporary location, so download them within the next couple of weeks. Thanks to David for server space. http://www.mcgirt.net/~ars2006/ars2006/ -If someone knows the correct e-mail addresses for Ernie Rischar, Mark Guthrie, or Tom Elliott, please send them this link.
