On the RV weather website that if you put the cursor over the winds on the METARS page it immediately calculates the cross winds for the respective runways. For those that do not have the websit, here is the address: www.rvproject.com For the tail draggers in the crowd this is a quick no brainer before aviating especially for the 50's with their 3m/s max X wind limit. We did a total of 8 sorties Saturday even if the Wx didn't cooperate as much as we had hope. Plus, all the guys (except Charlie and I who were busy showing the Air Cadets glider instructors what flying is all about) got to go on a glider fam flight. Sunday the ceiling lifted and we got 4 more sorties in before the guys had to blast their way south. Our hosts, Jazz and Remi, are already looking at the calandar for the next gig; sometime in June 2007. Look for the official dates to follow shortly. Thanks to all who were here and to those who tried but were Wx in. cheers, Dan >From: "david stroud" >To: >Subject: Yak-List: Bandits due North..Lachute, QC, Canada fly-in >Date: Sat, 3 Jun 2006 20:54:38 -0400 > >I had a chance to slide over to Lachute today and observe a bit of the >fly-in >arranged by Dan Fortin of this list.
