Hey Rich!
Sorry I've been out of touch since you sent me this. Home for just last
night and a part of today then back on the road. My dad had to go into the
hospital on Fathers Day. I came off a trip last Saturday and went right to
Pittsburgh to visit them. About 2:00am Sunday morning he and my mom and my
brother went in and dad was admitted. Spent all last week over there learning
to
be a patient advocate. Came back yesterday afternoon to attend Sarah's dance
recital last night and I leave again today to go back to PA. Time to attend
to his discharge from the hospital and admission to a nursing home for rehab
and probably long term care.
The whole hospital / nursing home / long term care thing SUCKS but it's that
time of life for he and my mom and I'm the oldest child so here we go! My
sisters live in the area and my brother was up for the first few days so my
folks had lots of help. Probably too much but he seems to be getting better
care since I raised a ruckus!
Hope the weather clears here eventually so you can get up in the CJ.
Thanks for the great video. I think they were French Mirage F-1's.
Have a good week.

Hi guys, I have a dilemma. We have a foreign exchange student from
Brazil. She has accumulated a vast and heavy collection of souvenirs
and teaching aids (she is an English teacher and translator in Brazil).
She is very, very over-weight and baggage count for Delta Airlines.
Question: Do any of you have a way for me to get a couple of 70-80 lbs
boxes to San Paulo Brazil that will not cost this girl $300?

If you wait till Manitowok, I can ship 75% off retail with FEDEX using
my airline employee discount.

Folks,
Mike Waites, the highly talented RPA coder enlisted by Deon to work with our organization, has completed the new rpa event registration and creation system online at www.flyredstar.org When needed, you can access this service by clicking on the large red "Event Registration" text dead center on the home page.
t is extremely fast to create an event, even faster to register for one, and-
Event organizers - you can now 24-7 change or delete your event and see or download
a complete list of attendees by clicking on "edit your event". This is
in addition to a system email you will get immediately when an attendee registers
for your posted event.
Event Attendees - Online event registration is always free, and you will recieve
an instant email listing all the event information - where, when, what - that
includes all the contact info for the event organizer for further communication...
We put Event Registration in bold red text dead center on the RPA home page,
so it is a snap to find and register or create your fly-in or clinic.
With fuel prices so high, more regional events are needed-wanted, so I hope this
service is useful in the coming years - thanks again to Mike Waites and our
talented web team for all the work!!

Please note, as always, this new module may be tweaked here and there to make things
more useful to members, if you find anything that needs fixing, or clarifying,
email me or the web team through the website.

Troops,
Mission accomplished!! 14 aircraft participated. One formation accomplished was
called the "Turkey". Looked very nice from the ground. WildBill once again
gave us all and moment of consternation when his chip lite came on in the middle
of our routine. Turnout not to be a major failure at all but just one teeny
tinny piece of aluminum.
Good show and friendship once again. Bob Langford got the Boner Award for spiting
out his finger while trying to open a beer bottle. A new "Drinking Prop"
was introduced by PopEye. Hope he brings it to OSH.
As of this moment all troops are en route home - EXCEPT ME!!!.
For me its off to OLU in the morning. Wx permitting.

Russ,
I usually ship my aircraft manuals by US Postal media or Book rate, much cheaper
but takes longer to arrive.
Good Luck

Just a reminder - MTW/OSH is one month away. It would be helpful for
planning to know who all is coming.
I have rec'd emails from 7. Heard about 8 more that will be coming.
Now the event is up on the web site - you can register there as well.
