Sure enough, yesterday in discussions with Mike Waites the RPA web coder I outlined
a code "bug" I found that results in sometimes users being taken to the "Create
an Event" form and not "register for an Event" form as requested when they
click "register".
He is on this fix, should be done this evening, I've also asked him to allow
non members as well as members to register for events.
Bottom line, no excuse for this particuliar bug, I found it quite fast. The
system should have been more thouroughly pretested by coders - he will be flogged
accordingly.
I rely on your reports of specific web issues to insure the system works as its
advertised.
Online Event registration helps the organizers. Herb, Ira should be sending
you an RPA debit card this week,

Folks,
Code team has fixed the minor bug in online event registration, I tested it and
it worked fine - and you do not need to log in to register. I found it easy
and extremely straight forward.
If this isn't an easy experience to register for you, please email me off list
with your experience so we can make necc changes,
I am issueing RPA charge cards to event organizers, so if folks register online,
he/she knows what to expect in purchasing, from his/her kinko copies to water
to hotel, van and restnt reservations, rubber chicken bombs, etc., whatever
services RPA and organizers provide for events starts with a near accurate head
counts, thanks for your patience and participation -

Ok...I have a source for some info but until I can get in touch with that person,
I want to throw this out to the group:
For some reason, my engine started idling kind of high after the engine warmed
up. It would start out at 22-25% and make its way up to 35% which makes slowing
the thing down for landing a little annoying. We thought we had the problem
figured after finding the set screw on the throttle arm was spinning in the carb
housing. (This was after it made its way loose during a flight and spun all
the way up which in turn did not allow me to get the RPM below 80%. Had to shut
off the mags too land.)
Anyway, a friend fixed the screw problem but it is still creeping up to 35%. He
has mentioned some folks he has spoken to that it may be a diaphragm issue. The
airplane did sit for almost two years without starting and I have been told
pressure carbs need to remain "wet" by more than one person.
So, anyone have some thoughts. Just trying to cover my bases by asking everyone!

Tim Gary Gabbard here, some years back I had a high idle all of a sudden, it went
to 36%, I found a sizeable intake leak, as soon as I fixed that, it went back
to normal idle.. Just a thought.. Gary
