If you have registered for the OSH/MTW event on the RPA website, this *will
not* register you for the Rodger Modglin Fundraiser dinner that is being
held in MTW July 24th. If you have already registered on the RPA website,
you must still contact Zoe or Ashley directly to reserve a seat at the
Martime Museum in MTW.
Please RSVP to Zoe Albrecht

I used marine grease in my pneumatic system components when I restored my
52. That was back in 2000-2001 time frame. Not too long ago I pulled an
uplock and it looked new.
Caveat.......I do most of my flying in the Mojave Desert.

Gentlemen,
with my last annual a couple of weeks ago
I had to replace both of my magnetos on my CJ.
After a few test flights I measured the surface
temperature of the distributor cap covers, it showed
on average 150 degrees centigrade.
Now here comes my question: Is that kind of high
temperature normal, and if yes what could be the
cause of such unusual peaks?
Thank you in advance for your much appreciated help.
Cheers
Elmar (C-FTKL)
