Dennis Savarese" Subject: Re: Yak-List: Flap --> Yak-List message posted by: "A. Dennis Savarese" Roger, Unlike the CJ, the Yak 52 only has one small air filter with is below the pop-off valve on the firewall. With the exception of the felt compressor filter and the aforementioned air filter, there really isn't much we can do on the 52. Cleaning the "snot" bottle out periodically helps prevent the goop from getting pushed back through the check valve and the air filter and finally back into the main air tank. Quite frankly, I think the CJ has a much better pneumatic filtering system. Spoke with Rob Kent & we reckon you'll not be any better off trying to use the "other" side of the Yak-52 gauge for your aux tank - as both the sender (specific to the fuel tank dimensions) & the display (decoding the phase combinations of a given sender) need to be matched for this to read accurately.
