Hello Listers,
One of the major new additions to the Matronics Email Lists this year was the addition
of a new and full function Forum Web Site at:
http://forums.matronics.com
The best part of these new Forums is that they are tied directly to the Classic
email distribution Lists! That also means that posts go in both directions.
If you post a message on the Forum web site, it will be cross posted to the respective
Email List. And, if you post a message to a particular Email List,
it will be cross posted to the same respective forum on the Forum site!
So, no matter what your content viewing pleasure is - either direct email distribution
or web-based GUI interface, you can have it at the Matronics Email Lists!
Won't you make a Contribution to support these Lists? It is your SOLE Contributions
that make their continued operation and upgrade possible!
The Contribution site is Fast, Easy, and Secure. Please surf over and make your
Contribution today:

Thank you!!

One of our customers sent me this today
+++++++++++++++++
By the way, I did a climb yesterday to see how high it would go. It got to
18,600 feet (corrected for QNH, FL 180) before I got bored as, by that time,
it was down to 200 fpm and, given more time, might have got a smidgeon
higher. It passed the 500 fpm point at about 15,500. It still (at 18,000)
flew quite nicely, as you would expect, as deterioration doesn't happen much
below 30,000 or so on the only aeroplane which I have taken to that sort of
height (maxed out at 35,000). We need 2-speed superchargers!
++++++++=======
It was with a 400hp engine and standard V530 prop.
I took a standard Yak 50 to 19,000 ft, it was still climbing at 500fpm but I
was concerned regarding the alt with no oxy. This took exactly 20 mins. I
think with longer prop blades and some slip on glass wing tips we could get
a 430hp to over 30,000 ft no problems.. .

One more source for flight suits is the Civil Air Patrol. If you know a CAP
member, they can order an Air force issue flight suit.
And Doug, Thanx for the bushings,

I believe Mirage F1-AZ/CZ of the South African Air Force. Had about 32 and retired in 1997, but did make a re-birth attempt with a "Super F1", which was fitted with a Klimov engine (same one as a Mig-29!), but didn't sell. Here is a basic link with more http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dassault_Mirage_F1
