hello scott: this is andres from dallas
we talked about getting nik tim from florida to give
us some training
i have arranged for him to give me some inverted spin
work and just russian radial work in florida for a
couple of days, he suggested some work here in the
dallas area, i wonder if you and the dierks are
interested in participating when he comes, that will
mean sharing one of the su 2 places he charges quite a
bit for his airplane and flying from florida to here
is rather expensive, he has some free time at the end
of february and march before the season, are you
interested or is dierks interested? i do not have his
e mail will you be so kind as to let me know if not
interested maybe you can forward this to dierks
happy holidays and spend more time out of the or

Troops,
Do you guys know how many formations I lead in a year? 58 separate flights
this year. Not just one or two or three - but a bunch of you are asking me
to sign off your formation recurrent sheet for Shane on flights that happen
months and months ago. First of all, I don't mind helping where I can, but
when you need to have you formation card recurrent sign off, it is not fair to
approach that lead pilot for that sign-off months after the fact. If you
need a sign-off for the year, please get it done - signed - sent in, WHEN you
do
it. Like anything else you are responsible for your certificates.
Besides! I am 67 years old - retired (some say retarded) - I tend to
remember only the really bad things and I might not want to sign off your
performance in my formation. I check my log book on a lot of these flights, and
yes I
did do a flight (or flights) that day. BUT I don't always put names of
those in the flight in my log book UNLESS something happened of a particular
interest.
Remember that sheet certifies that lead found your performance in the
formation up to standards NOT just the fact you flew in a formation.

Check Pilot status, you are required to list ALL wingman in formation

Hey the memory thing, It has definately been attributed to prolonged exposure to
the ionosphere and hair loss!

It is an '83 wing.

Subject: | Are you a CFI - read this |
Folks,
Some time ago I coded up a manually (staff) updated National CFI list for the
RPA community at the web site flyredstar.org, as it was manual, it was tough
to update in a timely fasion. Thats all changed -
Our hired gun web coder has now automated the list; if you would like your credentials
reflected for service to members, simply insure when renewing with RPA
that you select "CFI" on the question concerning your current license, this
will now auto-populate the National CFI list thats located under Flight Training
link. And note: We purged the old list, there was no way to load that old
list in the new computer system.
If you want to update this licence question outise of the renewal process, its
under the "help" link: - account administration - update your information
We will be adding a "Find a CFI" link right on the home page soon, which will
take any new aircraft owner right to the list.
Good for safety, good for insurance check outs, good for quality BFRs, good for
the community....
To get on the list, head to flyredstar...
Also, I would like to thank Shane Golden who has, and is, putting in a great
effort in the 2007 membership renewal campaign and as the RPA FAST Records Chairman
- buy him a beer at Waycross! FAST or not, all memberships expire Dec
31st, so let's renew on time and this will be sending your own "thanks" to Shane
and the other volunteers - it will save them time!
Fly safe,
Drew

I don't think I mentioned before that of our now 6 CJ's for sale, 3
have the Housai 285 hp motor, 2 will have the M14P, and I'll shortly
be installing the M14B on my bird (also for sale). Can't wait to see
what kind of performance we get out of the "B"....with it's full
pressure oil delivery system and capability of running at METO all
day long (even when swinging that heavy, fat metal 3 blade originally
designed for it), I suspect it will deliver beyond expectation.
For more info on our CJ's, feel free to contact me directly at

Merry Christmas!
