Tim, No have not heard from him yet. Apparently the 4 that are coming out of RU now will be the end of them. Mary Alexander's YAK-50 is for sale. It is black with red and yellow checkerboard trim, has smoke. I ferried it across the country to Vladimir's place and he went over it with a fine tooth comb. Good airplane. As for finding one with the right paint scheme, let me say that now-a-days you are lucky to find one at all! Just so it has its own topic, I am in the market for a quality 50, preferably with Soviet-era paint scheme. Keep me in mind if anyone hears of something along those lines.... Southeast Red Star Region members; The City of Wetumpka, EAA Chapter 822, and Red Air will be having a fly-in at 08A (Wetumpka, Al) on 5 May 07. For more information please go the RPA website . If you plan to attend please register on the RPA site. Lunch will be served for the participating pilots and fuel will be discounte $0.50/ gal for the Red Air pilots. The City requests max fly on Saturday. So come over on Friday for socializing and practice. The date was originally planned for 27-29 April but had to be changed to 4-5 May 07 because the Montgomery City Fest would be competing with the Fly-In on 27-28 April. Hey, stick around Saturday night and go to the season opener for the Montgomery Biscuits baseball team season opener! Any farther questions, please let me know.
