This may not interest USA buyers (due to exchange rate) but we will have a
fully overhauled YAK 50 buy the end of the summer. Work by Termikas so the
term "fully overhauled" can legitimately be used. Price will be 76,500 euro.
Overhaul, assembly, Test flown, disassembled and packed for shipping or
delivery in Europe.
Various other upgrade options available can be fitted at that time. Most
popular being 400 hp, smoke system, fuselage baggage box, 2 fuel tanks each
with fill points, occasionally long range fuel in the wings.

Troops,
Now out flying the B-24. CAVU skies and smooth air so far. Craig Payne
ferried me down after over nighting at my place (FD44). AYS was a real
success. We filled the ramp up with about 30 aircraft. Weather out west and
south
Florida held up the rest. To bad because the folks at Waycross really went
out of their way to make us welcome. At lot of flight checks done and dust
knocked off. A lot of laughs too (Right "Navigator " Jimmy?). You'll see and
read the details in the next Red Alert.

Jill,
Is that airplane with you in Kingman or is it still in Tucson?

Subject: | Leeward Flyin mid March |
As promised I have begun looking inot accomodating a flyin between AYS and S&F
here in North Central Florida. I have discussed it with Jimmy Leeward and he said
he will get back to me. Problem is we dont have fuel on the field. So we would
have to fly to elsewhere for fuel.
Second Choice is X35 Dunnellon Fl. They are 15 miles west of Leeward. They have
good ramp space and real cheap fuel. The airport supervisor really is excited
about the prospect and seems eager to help. Very nice hotels are close by. They
dont have fuel trucks but he said he would arrange for fuel trailers and would
get help to fuel us and would offer a discount on fuel. He agreed to have
plenty of oil on hand. The Yankke air force is based there and have agreed to
host us in their very large hangar right next to the ramp. This seems like the
best prospect.
On another note Williston is having a flyin in on Sat the 24th and they would love
to have us, they said they would try to give us fuel for a 1 day formation
flight for you local guys who want to come out for that.
Please contact me off list erniel29@gmail.com so I can get an idea of how many
airplanes would be coming down and what dates in March would be best. Please try
to RSVP as soon as possible since I need some time to arrange for vittles,
hotels and transportation.
Ernie

Yesterday, you should have received an RPA E-Comm regarding a prospective
watch and neck tie that I'm evaluating for the online store. The issue is simple.
I need to know if there is sufficient member interest to warrant stocking
these items.
Unlike T-shirts, for example, the watch at $78 and the tie at $40 are
relatively high ticket items. The RPA's treasury cannot afford to stock such items
if there is little interest.
So, good, bad or indifferent, I need your feedback. Thanks for the help.
Thanks also to the 30 or so of you that have already responded.
