Rininger" Subject: Yak-List: Re: Osh Schedule FYI Craig, et al, I'll be at Oshkosh shooting for EAA from Fri 7/20 thru Sun 7/29. Over the years, I've noticed we don't really spend a lot of time with the Yak and 'Chang group as most of the warbird attention is thrown over to the 'bigger guys'. If there's something you think should be covered from a photographic point of view, feel free to give me a call. 831.905.3210 tyson@tvrphotography.com The volunteer photographers and writers are typically assigned stories first thing in the morning. If something pops up that can be planned the day prior which you'd like a photographer to be present for, I'll do my best to get it assigned or at least try to get there myself. Can't make any promises, but a heads-up will help us prioritize and include the Eastern Bloc community in our daily plans. Also keep in mind, events typically have to be EAA related to get press. (It sucks, I know) Thanks for posting the current Osh schedule. I'll add it to the list of important stuff. Looking forward to meeting some of you East Coast folks! (Sorry I didn't get the chance to wander over during SnF or the Leeward Fly-in..but ya'll looked great!) I have a small garden sprayer with Simple Green Aircraft Cleaner in it. I spray it on let it sit for a minute and then hose off. 90% of the oil just rinses off. The last 10% will wipe right off. If you don't have water at your hangar you can use a larger garden sprayer with water in it. Nail on the head! When I worked the line (which I think EVERY pilot should do on their career), I helped out some airplane owners and got to fly in some cool airplanes! T-33 MiG-15UTI T-6 T-28 CJ-6 (owner was killed in the airplane a few years later) I have fond memories of my time as a lineboy and learned a ton! Give the local kid a shot at cleaning it....then take him/her up! You will make their day and an ally at the field. Wet thoroughly, then wring out most of the water, then spray liberally with Lemon Pledge. Wipes off bugs and leaves a bit of wax behind to fend off the next batch. Does a good job on smoke oil residue. Safe on plexiglas, but hit it first before the leading edges. Shake it once in a while to get rid of the crunchy pieces of bugs. Doesn't leave swirl marks. I've carried one for years to clean my Harleys in a zip-loc bag. Cleans windshields, chrome, paint very well. After a few days on a road trip they get kind of rank and a quick rinse in a motel sink gets them fresh and moist again.
