The world famous Vinton County Airshow is this Sunday 9-16-07. If you're in the Ohio area, this is one fly in and airshow you're not going to want to miss! BBQ Chicken starts being servered at 11am. http://www.vintoncountytravel.com/Vinton_County_Air_Show.htm Fly bys and airshow begins at noon. Get there early, there's usually an large number of aircraft, production and homebuilt, flying in. Yak(s) arrive around 9-10am. Vinton county airport info: http://www.airnav.com/airport/22i

Hey Guys, I'm still alive and well out here in SLC with 'Chang.( N621CJ ). I replaced pitot static hoses and most leaky flight instruments with some non-TSO'd tight ones. Doug Sapp helped me here as usual. The main struts wouldn't stay charged so I found the culprit and flushed the old hydraulic fluid (it smelled like turpentine and was almost black). No hiding less than excellent landings behind mushy struts any more. Ranger's giving me some excellent aerobatic instruction). 621CJ just keeps getting better and better. Finally found a great CJ mechanic if anyone's interested. Randy Porter at SLC Intnl, just a few buildings down from my hanger. He says 621 is the most well balanced airplane he's seen. CG right over the wheels. What a sweet Nanchang, and the M14P is nice to have in the 13,000' Wasatch mountains in the summer. Dang! I guess anything less than perfect can only be attributable to operator error here, so it's a mixed blessing. Y'all Take Care in the air out there, Valkyrie

When storing my Yak-52 in my hangar, I was told to leave the snot valve open so as to avoid any condensation from remaining trapped in the system. Is this recommended? Will this hurt anything? Thanks, John P.
