The Chinese engine and system, in fact the whole airplane is so
different, there is no chance of it working. (Sarcasm)
Yes, I believe it is plug and play on the Housai as well.

When flying formation cross country with other Yaks/CJs, I'll regularly
run at 1860RPM and 580-600MP. This typically gives me 11Gph fuel burn
even down around 4-5k alt.

Yes, our oil shut off valve and scavenge clean kit systems can and have been
installed on the CJ6. Installation on Yak, CJ, Sukhoi, and other homebuilt
airplanes are all possible even though the system was originally developed
for our Pitts Model 12 kit airplane.

Hi Steve--
As I'm sure you know, there are several variants of the Yak-18. Which on
e
are you referring to? Plain old -18, -18A, -18P, -18PM, -18T etc? The o

one I know of that might be in production today is the -18T, possibly a
turbine version, though I haven't read anything about them for quite a wh
ile
Other than the -18T there are very few of the other versions still left
=2E
Probably more of them in Europe than in the US. A good source of
information is the Yak bulletin board called the "Yak-list"
(yak-list@matronics.com). Lots of knowledgeable folks all around the wor

read it. You might drop a post and see what happens. In fact I'll cc th

Hi Jerry,
I've been reading your website and enjoying it very
much but it also brought to mind an old question.
While living in Alaska in the mid 90's I discovered
the Yaks and in particular the Yak-18. It is true that
his aircraft is in production in updated form? Do you
often have any of the older 18's come through your
hands? I can't seem to find enough on the market to
get a fix on their value.
Really like the "keep it simple" point of view!
