Kwvin,
Were these 50's or Lavcohkins? Look at the tails on this and the cowlings in
these pictures. Then look at the tail and cowling on the picture of the one
on the ramp for sale. Those are no the same birds?

To clarify - I have the HGU33. I also have a soft leather with DC ANR
that I prefer for noise and acro. Not that the hard helmet is
uncomfortable or that much inferior - its just that the other combo
fits like a glove and the ANR is flawless.

See what you mean. Amazing what a coat of paint will cover!
Would have been just as cool to have left them as Lavochkin look alikes'.
They would have been quit a conversation piece at the local fly-ins. But
then again, the 50 attracts its' whale share of attention without the fake
skins!

The price of fuel at O61 is $4.00/gal. We have managed to keep it
down around there for the last year. I suspect it will be going up.

Gary, Pls enlighten us with how you run regular gas in a CJ. I thought it had to
be leaded. Additive, access to leaded gas? What?
Thanks!,

How come your not running auto gas like us Westerners? Been on it for four years
now, with 650 hrs on the CJ with zero problems. Auto is $2.65 a gallon out here!!
Why would you burn anything else? Avgas is $ 4.55 gallon here.

Just paid my October fuel chit from my friendly FBO. $4.50/gallon
average price. How bad are y'all getting hosed? Trying to get back my
money in FBO coffee and donuts but it's costing me at the Gastro Dr,'s.
Either way, it's more heartburn....
