Walt, I don't believe I said it came with a "low flow rate transducer". I do believe what I said was it came with a model 201 transducer, which in fact comes in three different versions; 201A, 201B and 201C. These are the TSO'd transducers listed on the Floscan web site. I was unable to determine from the JPI web site which transducer the kit comes with. Since the JPI 450 is spec'd for aviation and STC's exist, the transducer must be TSO'd. So, I assumed it must come with a model 201 of some kind. As for a 407 transducer, that model is not listed on the Floscan web site nor is it listed, including on the Accessories page of the Floscan site or on the JPI web site for the JPI 450. To be on the safe side, I made the assumption (right or wrong) it came with a 201A which has a .3-30 GPH flow rate, according to the chart on the Floscan web site. If it came with the 201B, then it would be perfect for our installations because the 201B has a published flow rate of .6-60 GPH. If a person tries to order any model 201 directly from Floscan, they will tell you to order if from one of the listed distributors. They will not sell it direct. Believe me, I tried this. HOWEVER, if you want to order the marine version (which is not TSO'd), you can order the model 231 which, according to Floscan has a similar flow rate as the aviation model 201B AND you can purchase it directly from Floscan for $110.00 plus shipping of course. Subject: Yakk'in Cross Country - Trip Complete
Hi All, The cross country trip was completed on Friday. Rosamond CA (L00) to Perkiomen PA (N10), 5 days, 19.1 hours flight time, 15 stops, Max tailwind of 73kts, Max level ground speed ~190. Had epic tailwinds for the entire trip. The worst weather were some low ceilings 4-5K MSL over KS and MO and still had 20 kts on the tail. Other than that, clear blue. Thanks to everyone who helped out and gave advice. Looking forward to flying with all the East Coasters. S
