I find it MUCH easier to look at than the standard grey. Being a po' boy on a shrinking pension, I have re-learned the frugal ways of my youth. In my circle of misfits, we trade magazines rather than buy all of them every month. A favorite swap spot is the hanger pilot lounge. It was here that I picked up a November/December 2007 copy of Pilot Getaways and see Jim "Pappy" Goolsby's airplane and face all over the cover and inside centerfold. Seems like he is always kissing up to the cameras! At ETB (West Bend, WI), I have made arrangements to stay at the Americinn, details follow after the holidays. At Oshkosh, Pappy has arranged for a block of rooms at the UWM dorms starting that Monday and running through the following Sunday for those making the full tour. IN BOTH CASES, individuals will need to make their own reservation against the block of rooms. There is a dorm signup on the RPA site, and there will probably be an ETB event signup as well after all gets firmed up here with the transportation issues. I know that the latter came out in the early eighties, and that there were quite some improvements, but what exactly? Are there any specific items that allow to make an easy distinction visually (apart from the year it is built ?).
