    If you mean the original Russian spades on the outer end of the ailerons, yes. The difference when doing aerobatics is quite apparent. Although I still need both hands for rolling. It won' make you roll faster, of course, only easier.... But most of my collegue Yakista's consider it a very ugly modification.     That is what I thought the wing tip aileron load lighteners were called! Shovels! I do not have them on my 78 but don't feel I need them either. Besides, I have wingtips anyway. Not dumping them for shovels. She rolls just fine with my current arrangement and have not been overwhelmed by the forces on the controls at 380 kmph either yet.
