Hi
Am in the same boat with this guy.He has taken money from me 2 years ago to supply
an 18T.Delivery should have been in may 2007.Still waiting. As you say we as
the buyer are powerless once a deposit has been paid.Know damn well that any
legal action will just add to the lost money, because so many people are after
him for money.Cant understand how he has managed to fleece quite so many people
for so long without the authorities catching up to him.I bet he goes nowhere
near a Lithuanian jail.Ananbaras is a limited company,and I bet all the property/land
etc is in his wifes name.Declare bankruptcy and walk away with a slap
on the wrist.

Liutauras has probably defrauded more people than we know about.
I personally know of one man who is out a large sum of money.
For fun, I contacted Liutaurus and he offered to sell me a Yak 18T, and deliver
it right here to me in Phoenix. Guess he is not exclusive through his reps in
the USA.
Here is what he offered to sell me.
These look familiar to anyone?

Doug,
First of all, my name is Michael, Michael Hanshew to be exact. I made no
pretense of trying to hide who I am.
Secondly, I have made no assumptions. I have full, clear knowledge of the
situation having been involved from the very beginning. Do not doubt that
there is basis for my comments.
I mentioned no names in my post. I owe no one an apology. It is very obvious
from other comments that there are two broker/agents who fit the
description.
To see someone very close to me being taken advantage of is very
troublesome. You yourself have stated that when you could not produce as
agreed you returned the deposits. That was the honorable thing to do, and
congratulate you for realizing where the responsibility ultimately lies.
I can only hope others do the same.
Michael Hanshew

Hi this is my first post to the list an hope it works. Regarding with
whom to deal in the purchase of a YAK, I did a lot of research before
deciding to do business with Richard Goode and having done so I can't
praise his professionalism and communication highly enough in the
transaction I had with him which was to purchase a YAK18T from a
location in Europe.
The aircraft is as described, travelled well by container from Hungary,
and is now sitting in a hangar just down the road from me with all the
documentation, ready for Australian registration.
He has a good reputation among the people that frequent this list and
for good reason. Cheers, Phil Gower, Toowoomba.

Hi Doug,
Usually, I find your posts here to be a refreshing voice of logic and
reason
on this forum that is at times not really a bastion of well thought out
ideas.
This time, however, I am on the other side of the fence from you.
First,
I thought you were a bit far out in jumping Mike Hanshew for not putting his
name
underneath his message...when he clearly identified himself in the message
origin.
For, the record Mike Hanshew is one of the most talented, straight
forward
and respectable members of the Yak/CJ community that there is. He has a
very
nice Yak 52 and I have had the pleasure of flying with him in that airplane.
He is truly one of the good guys.
This festering sore of Liutauras Dzuisas and his business practices
needs
to be resolved in some way. I must say that I don't have a really workable
suggestion
as to how this could be done. It least, the whole ugly mess needs to
be exposed to the Yak/CJ community. I think that there are some people
involved
in this ugliness that should comment directly about their involvement and
what, from their viewpoint, "really happened".
A recent post by Ilia somebody excusing this as poor Liatauras having
bad
luck and being forced into a "Ponzi" scheme to try to save his business,
etc.,
is pure hog wash. Ponzi scheme or not, what this guy Dzuisas was/is doing
is
simply a continuing criminal enterprise. Whoever started this thread (maybe
Schrick) was right, simply put, the man should be put in jail AFTER whatever
assets
he has are returned to his trusting victims.
Doug, what appears to have rattled your cage here was Mike's assertion
that
broker (or brokers) involved here have some culpability. If I read you
right
that you don't think that they do, I must say that I think you are 100%
wrong
PARTICULARLY if they have a reason to even suspect that their source is less
than reliable.
In this case, it appears that one broker (wouldn't "agent" be a better
term
here?) continued to take deposits of 50% on airplanes to be delivered by
Dzuisas
even AFTER he knew that Dzuisas wasn't delivering airplanes as agreed.
In a first deal situation, being cheated by a supposed seller who
doesn't
perform kind of puts everybody in the "victim" status. But for a
dealer/broker/agent
to then continue to take 50% deposits for airplanes from a source that
HE KNOWS has not performed honorably in the past raises questions about that
persons character and integrity.
For such a person, who appears to me to have been acting as agent, to
then
remain silent when it becomes public knowledge that the seller (Dzuisas, in
this
case) is conducting a continuing criminal enterprise raises really
uncomfortable
possibilities. Those involved need to speak out....and sooner rather than
later.
Thanks for listening.
