Just wondered if anyone may have a spare radio that they may be interested
in selling. We are getting ours repaired for the '52 at the moment and want
to get a spare anyway.

While gary had a unique way of making his point, I'm thinking the term "Cruise
Flight" covers a wide range of speeds and power settings. With the M-14P, Cruise
I and II settings are specified along with fuel consumption figures.
Flying my CJ in formation with Yak-52's yields a burn of 9.2 gph vs 14 gph for
the Yaks. However, at the same power settings my engine yields the same burn,
just a bit more speed. Soooo, this years "commute" to Oshkosh will be done at
leisurely speeds, with an eye on the NMPG readout on the JPI, playing the winds,
etc.
All said, picking the cheaper fuel stops could help more than lots of careful manipulation
of the engine levers.

I just bought another Yak-52 (third one that I've owned over the years)
I have a good friend who is a CFI and has CASH and prior L-29, Wilga and
Yak-52 experience who is looking for someone interested in selling their Yak-52,
so that he can fly with me and do formation work, etc...
Just figured with the high cost of fuel, hangar rent, insurance,
maintenance, the real estate housing crunch, tight credit, recession, etc., etc.,
that
there might be someone interested in a ready to go CASH buyer.
I am in Reno, Nevada and my friend who is looking to buy a Yak-52 is in
Northern California.
Appreciate any information or leads to help him get flying.
