    Subject: Radios for sale?
Hi Scott, I'm confused.thought I sent the wlacrussianeng.co link to Andrew Love in AU. That url is a source of YAK parts that I use when I can't get them here in the US. Before saying the following, here is the disclaimer: " I am not a broker, importer, or maintainer of Red Star Aircraft. I maintain my own aircraft in my own hanger. I do get assistance when needed or mandated by FAA regulation. This being said, the following are two known YAK refurbishers/ re-salers across the pond that I know people have had favorable dealings with, myself included. Those were for parts I needed. I've had a protracted time dealing with Liutaraus @ Anabaras in Li. That was over some issues with my 52 concerning the engine. He eventually made that right. He replaced the engine and I paid him what he requested as compensation for that. I am not disparaging Aeroconcept or anyone else for that matter that sells or refurbishs YAK aircraft in the world. So much for the TMFI with the disclaimer. So: Try the Termikus website (www.termikus.com) or Rob Rowe or Mark Jefferies in the UK (www.yakuk.com )( I think) for YAKS for sale across the pond. I'm not aware of any available in the US currently. Jerry Painter (?) I believe had or has a TW for sale up in Oregan or is it Washington State? If you are interested in a YAK-50, talk to Dave Hilker in KS. Contact me off list for that contact info if interested. Thanks, Doc From: owner-yak-list-server@matronics.com [mailto:owner-yak-list-server@matronics.com] On Behalf Of SD737@aol.com Sent: Sunday, June 22, 2008 10:24 PM Subject: Re: Yak-List: Radios for sale? Hi Doc, Pete Taylor is the friend who is interested in a Yak-52. I went to the website <http://www.wlacrussianeng.co.uk/> http://www.wlacrussianeng.co.uk/ that you forwarded to me, but no Yak-52's listed for sale. Thanks for your help, Scott _____ Gas prices getting you down? Search AOL Autos for fuel-efficient used cars <http://autos.aol.com/used?ncid=aolaut00050000000007> .

Jerry Painter in Washington has a 1986 Yak-52 w/ 800 hrs, lower time engine and WW prop. Stripped and ready to paint. Asking $65K. Phone 425-876-0865. I'd look into the hx...paint stripped, newer engine and prop. Sounds like a gear up situation. Could be a great deal though and you get to do your own paint scheme!! Dale, I see two Yak 52's for sale at Barnstormers; one in France at 78,000 Euros and one in the US. On Trade-A-Plane, there is only one 52 advertized. This is interesting... (few Yak-52 and CJ in the market - in the U.S). Considering the Thread earlier this week regarding concerning cost of ownership and of dropping market values of our airplanes due to rising fuel prices - I would offer the opinion that in the relatively near future, our aircraft value could go up in price... Why? you ask - because we are becoming much more attractive to the larger HP aircraft owner (T-6 and up) who really feel the fuel cost pinch, unless independently wealthy. I believe we will see more and more of those for sale soon as they migrate to the YAK/CJ. I see warbird market reacting similarly to the automotive market where you can get bargain prices on large SUVs and fancy Dullys and trucks while the economy cars' value rising steadily - time will tell but don't rush to sell your Yak or CJ just yet... As long as people keep importing CJ's and Yaks, supply will always be ahead of demand. Most of the higher HP airplane drivers are in their 60's and 70's and will probably just retire rather than switch to some "Commie Airplane" (their term not mine). One other item no one is considering. The cost to get your CJ to a US port just nearly doubled due to the rising cost of fuel. A over height, open top container was running about 5K 3-4 months ago. I have a open top container on the water right now that is costing me 9K Beijing to Seattle. There is a new old stock M14-P on Ebay, starting bid of $32,000 with no bids. That price makes me want to part out my Yak. They must think engine prices go up with gas prices as well. 32 grand is in the ballpark for a PF, but not a P, not in my opinion anyway. I also think it 'll be impossible to find a first-run, zero-time Russian M-14P, because there are none. Furthermore, there won't be many brand-new Romanian M14P engines either.
