Subject: | WANTED- Yak52 Canopy Cover |
Just wondered if anyone has a Yak-52 canopy cover?that they're not using?and would
want to sell.??I plan on ordering on from Bruces Custom Covers out at Oshkosh
to get their airshow discount, but thought I would try the Yak list first.
Thanks,

Hello, Yakistas,
I'm doing a Stand-up at Warbirds in Review at Oshkosh this year on the 50th anno
of the First Flight of the CJ-6A. While I'm firmly of the opinion that the facts
should never get in the way of a good story, I'm interested in any historical
info or anecdote that any of you are a prty to. Such as this: I had heard
a story that a flight of North Korean Yak-18's had attacked an oil storage facility
in Seoul during the Korean War. Anyone else hear that? SO, anything you
folks have would be appreciated as I get my wits gathered.
See you at Oshkosh!

The only Marine corp ace during Korean shot down 5 of these types. No migs
- just poor old little Yak 18s. BTW the CJ didn't fly until August 28 1958.
Had he encounter a B model, well there might have been a Corsair with a few
holes in it. :-)
Pappy
Hmmmmmmmmm One wonders. Pappy.
