From: "Pilot5517" Hello, I'm thinking strongly about purchasing a Yak 52. I have read "some" about the heavy spar or at least that most if not all Yak's should have it done. My question is, how do you check to see if it has been done when looking at a potential Yak to buy? Thanks. Any suggestions for getting em' loose? Maybe a squirt of break free and an overnight sit? Obviously not a maintenance concern for the previous owner. Corroded on the inside. Doug Sapp got me one ASAP. Back in the air today. I feel better about the integrity of the thing as it sits next to the oil tank.
