From: "Craig Winkelmann" Dave: There are some great guys in Charlotte who are members. They fly Pilatus P-3s and Focke-Wulfs. They came to the Tar Heel FAST clinic we held at Sandord, NC in June. I live in Raleigh and will have a CJ by Waycross and there are a few Yak-52 guys in the Raleigh area as well. Contact me off list and I can help put you in touch with the Charlotte based guys. Probably need to pull the drums and pads and replace them but I think I should also test the brake pressure at each wheel. What is the normal air pressure at each wheel supposed to be? Dennis Savarese" Subject: Re: Yak-List: brake pressure Brake pressure for a Yak is the same since both the Yak and CJ use the same brake reducing valve. But before you start delving into a pressure problem, pull the wheel and check the drum to make absolutely sure the drum's rear felt grease seal is not damaged or missing. A damaged or missing rear grease seal causes grease to sling outward from the bearing and all over the brake pads. A telltale sign is grease mixed with brake dust all over the plate behind the rear bearing.
