I have the Black CJ with the silver tanks. They have 12 gallons of fuel each, are filled only for cross country flight and are placarded for no aerobatics unless empty. The wing area was beefed up along with the fuel tank access panel cover. I'm comfortable that the entire assembly is stronger than before and will handle the 100 lbs each side when full. The tanks have been installed for 3 years now and have had no problems. One last note, they can be removed from the mount in about 1 minute per side by a quick release system I designed and only the pod remains. They are great for cross country but do slow the cruise by about 5 kts. The design could be used as storage compartments instead of fuel. Thanks Reade, Just saw a couple pictures off the WW site showing a before/after from a V530 recondition job. Very nice. I spoke with Greg Anderson and he tells me they are testing their M14P prop (400C?) on a Yak 52. Said he would get back to me soon with more details. I thought maybe some of the Yak folks here might have some more information? Our Yak 52 came with a propeller that had been recently re-done by Whirlwind. They did a very nice job and it has given excellent service so far. Read this topic online here: http://forums.matronics.com/viewtopic.php?p=217666#217666

Thanks Sam -- that's great to here. I thought they had just produced one recently. How many hours do you have on that prop? Can you look up the weight and diameter for me when you get a chance?
