Personally, I feel it's only satisfying to be "current" in both! Only, with one - a "touch n' go" is a practice drill, with the other, it's a misdemeanor! HAPPY HOLIDAYS, YAKKERS / CJ'ers! >>> "Craig Winkelmann" 12/18/2008 7:03 PM >>> HEY...that's NOT a picture of a YAK and who painted the flag on that plane in the background? Later, when the wind with the strange names like "BashemdownJoe" or "FloodemoutPatty" come to town and you are wondering where your hangar is today or how many cottonmouths or alligators have found refuge from the flood waters in your GIB's seat, I don't want to hear a whisper about it. >> I am chagrined, yes we can have really nasty weather down here in Paradise and those cottonmouths & gators are for real. However, it's the nasty little flying things that crave human flesh that I worry about. The Summer heat can be intense. Take Today, for example; I had to follow my summer routine because of the heat: Up early and out to the airport, knock for lunch at the airport sandwich shop, back to the hanger until my T-shirt is damp with sweat. Home early for a shower and a nap. Wake up for happy hour and out to dinner early for Seniors Special $5.99 dinner with $1.50 Long Necks. Later, there is a Christmas Parade; my chairs are already in place. Then maybe back to the airport with the Night Shift airport bums and knock down some cool ones while sitting in front of a big fan. But, I can't stay out too late, have an 8:30am briefing for formation practice with Ye Mystic AirKrewe of Tampa. Gotta go now, something on the News about snow and ice from Seattle to New York. Supposed to last all week. How do you guys handle it? Group, I went from 80 deg weather (and fires burning down the town), to 6" + snow in four weeks. Last week it was T-shirt and shorts at the hanger, and now Snow! Currently waiting on the huricanes and earthquakes, Then I will have had it all. Well at least the snow wont last long (2-3 days) and then hopefully back to 80 deg weather.
