Lads, I have a 28V Jasco Alternator and regulator for sale. I have not tested the unit but it was bought from a reputable seller on the Yak list who purported the unit to be in good condition. As with anything I have ever sold, if you are not pleased with your purchase it may be returned for any reason within seven days for refund of full purchase price. I can't remember how much I paid for it. If interested, contact me off line with an offer. dstroud@xplornet.com . I can send digital pics. Subject: CJ Tow Bar
    From: "Dennis Von Ruden" <dvonruden@generalequip.com>
I purchased my CJ directly from the Chinese government a number of years ago. As part of the agreement, I also purchased an original towbar, a jack set and a complete set of engine/airframe service tools. I found the Chinese towbar to be somewhat difficult and time consuming to use. Instead, I normally use a two section towbar designed to fit the AA1 and AA5 Series Grumman aircraft. Fits over the nose gear axle perfectly. The T-handle is a bit short, but works on a ramp. To get the CJ in and out of the hangar, I adapted a handle extension that will also allow it to be coupled to a small garden tractor if so desired. The good thing is the towbar design will fail (i.e.: bend) before damage to the nose gear occurs. Still need to be careful. Don't laugh...but for moving by hand, I went to the Aviation Dept of Home Depot and got some metal pipe.... about a 12" section to go through the nosewheel (retaining pin optional), a 90, then about 6 feet of pipe, a tee, and two sections for the handle. Painted to match the airplane of course... Worked great... For moving with a tug, I got some square tubing, and had one welded up...about 100 bucks and a bunch cheaper than going out and buying one from Spruce that doesn't work well... I still have them both if you want pictures for ideas, I'd be happy to share... -- Jeff Linebaugh jefflinebaugh@gmail.com

Jeff - knowing your attention to detail & authenticity, were you able to find suitable metric threaded pipe for this unique item, or did you simply settle for standard U.S. threads?
