Subject: | adjust oil cooler door |
Hi,, doing the annual and we've found when the oil door indicator is fully closed
(and the knob won't turn anymore) the door under the belly is hanging down
about 3 inches. how do we adjust this?

Mike;
That probably means the retention of the cable housing has failed for some
reason.
The housing must be firmly clamped to structure near the operating end. If
that has come loose the housing will move with cable actuation.

Guys,
It looks like there is enough interest that it will be a go. I'll
call the machinist on Monday and confirm everything. Thursday I am
supposed to travel out to California (where the machinist is). I am
going to take the sample that I have from when he started the run to
be sure that everything is right with them. Hopefully they'll be
finished before I return home. I'll report back as soon as possible.
