Ok, I just looked up the plugs on the NGK site, and you are right,
they are hot... I am used to running 8's and 9's on my bikes, and
silly me, I thought a bigger number meant hotter... It ran perfect
with the 6's so I'll stick with those...
Thanks!

On re-filling my Yak 52's air this weekend - the check valve that is
suppose to keep the air from blowing out the external filler value is
stuck or defective. Air blows out the filler valve - where is this check
valve? I tried to track it down on the air system schematic but was
unsuccessful. The emergency side of things is fine and holds pressure,
just the main air.
Thanks in advance,
Deon.

This check valve is on the firewall. Locate the pop-off valve. On the
left and right side of the Cross or T are two check valves. The one on
the left, closest to the oil tank is the check valve that you're looking
for.

Maryland Metrics is usually less expensive. Somewhat difficult to order
on-line. So give them a call and tell them what you want.

I carry 4mm,5mm @ 26.00 per hundred, and 6mm for 28.00 per 100. They are
truss head, stainless steel, low profile, phillips head screws. No min
order, 1 or 1000.

Doug, I'll take 100 of each, if you bring them on your pilgrimage to
Aurora on Saturday. Will bring CASH, either US or Chinese. Can never
have enough of the correct fasteners.

Subject: | Re: Air System question |
It depends on what system you have... This diagram depicts the system
I have in my Yak...
http://www.yakuk.com/YAK-52_Air_Schematic.pdf
Mine has a check valve in the back on the left side behind the pax
seat near the fill port (in red on the diagram)... If this one is
leaking your E system will not stay charged... This was the problem I
had...
On the diagram you will see another check valve, lower left, above the
engine... That is the main check valve (you should be able to find it
on the firewall near the pop-off valve, or trace it from the pop-off
valve (mine is near the upper left engine mount) ... If this one is
leaking your main air will not stay charged...
Again, this is the air system on mine.....my buddy's yak's system is
different...
Hope this helps...

Subject: FAA Paperwork
Jon please forward this to the yak list.
Gentlemen,
Recently one of our members had a paperwork problem with the FAA regarding his
airworthiness certificate and the operating limitations. The dates on these two
documents didn't match, and therefor it was illegal to operate the aircraft.
The paperwork had been sent by his FSDO four years ago, and this paperwork had
been inspected over 30 times by the FAA at various air shows. Nonetheless this
inspector caught it, along with another air show act and grounded the planes
until the proper paperwork could be faxed in. Luckily for both teams the paperwork
was forwarded on Friday, and we were able to fly our routines.
Please check to see that the dates on both the airworthiness and operation limitations
are the same, if not contact your local FSDO to have this resolved.
Thanks,
Tim Williams

additional weight. Meets all FAA structural sheetmetal modificaiton

allowing for reading of full capacity of tank. Vent fitting not
attached.
CJ Extended Range tanks
US quick drain installed for ease of defuling. Original strap and
fuel fitting locations and specifications.
CJ Extended Range tanks
Strap bracket installation.
CJ Extended Range tanks
Tank goes through rib which is properly reinforced.
CJ Extended Range tanks
