Subject: | Air-start Pressure Gauge advice for Yak 55M |
Hi,
I would like to know if anyone has a recommendation for a cockpit mounted
gauge to show pressure in air-start system (besides the common gauges used
in Yak 50s and 52s). I am in the process of installing a compressor and
don't want to spend the money on the standard gauge since I don't have a
reserve tank and am just interested in the main tank pressure.
Thanks,
Anthony.

Put a meter on the generator with the engine running and slowly increase RPM and
see what the generator output reads. This is the first step. After that, there
is a whole lot of things that need to be checked, but this is the logical
first step.

Subject: Yak-List: Gen light
Hi, I am posting for a friend.
After a normal trip taxing back at low RPM the gen light came on as usual.
However, when taking the RPM up above 40% and up above over 60% later, the generator
light remained on.
Anybody with any ideas?
