Andrew... I have a Yak 52 that will be up for sale in the very near future.....and it is probably one of the nicest Yaks around,,, It's just coming out of an extensive condition inspection including all new instrument panels in front with a Dynon EFIS, Trio autopilot, and TLE fuel flow instrument, and new consoles in both front and rear cockpits... New 28V and 14V aux busses for additional equipment, and a ton more more.., In addition I have new glass all round, fairly new paint, aux rear fuel tank, heavy spar, smoke system, and it's a pre-moratorium bird... The engine is very strong with the western ignition system mod, all cyls in the 78-79/80 range, and it only burns about half a quart of oil an hour... I am out of town working a contract right now, but I should be back and have it completed by the end of August... I am in Colorado Springs at Meadow Lake Airport (00V) if you want to see it... You can see some photos of it here:http://vondane.com/yak/index.htm - These were all taken before it went down for the condition inspection and panels upgrades... I will have new photos taken once I am done... Thanks... -Bill ---------------------------------------------- Whiskey Victor / ePanel Builder www.whiskeyvictor.com On Thu, Jul 30, 2009 at 3:57 AM, Andrew Love <torque_roll@hotmail.com>wrote: > Hi Jerry, > > Is your Yak 52 still for sale by any chance? > > Kind Regards, > > > *Andrew Love* > > > ** > > ** > > *Andrew Love Contracting* > > *trading as* > > ** > > *AWL Air Services* > > ** > > *and* > > ** > > *Nu Look Window Cleaning Services* > > ** > > > ** > *P +64 3 451 0396 I F +64 3 451 0395 I M +64 21 > 818 816* > > > ------------------------------ > Find someone to snuggle > upEnz%2Emsn%2Ecom%2Fchannel%2Findex%2Easpx%3Ftrackingid%3D1048628&_t=773568480&_r=nzWINDOWSliveMAILemailTAGLINES&_m=EXT' > target='_new'>Brrr... its getting cold out there > > * > > * > >

    From: "Rob Rowe" <yak-list@robrowe.plus.com>
Cecil, Baklan radios have an audio frequency impedance matching device mounted under the back of the radio tray ... this comes in one of two standard configurations supporting either a 56 ohm or 1600 ohm output, usually the latter. The difference is achieved through using different resistor, capacitor & transformer components ... so not easy for you to further adapt. I've not got one to hand but there's probably an ID plate on it somewhere ... if the tag ends in; ... 5.032.019 it's 56 ohms ... 5.032.019-01 it's 1600 ohms According to the manual the output amplifier was designed to directly drive up to 4 pairs of Russian TA56/TA56M headsets (available in 56 or 1600 ohm flavours). Hope this is of some help. brgds, Rob R Read this topic online here: http://forums.matronics.com/viewtopic.php?p=255206#255206

Hell maybe we should send our FNG's to LoPresti for their fighter lead in training and B-course after UPT. A week vs 9 months what a deal. Well atleast the Predator drivers could go (R/C from the Cab what a thrill). They could even get their tail wheel endorsement while they are there too. In this time of budget constraints a week ought to be one hell of a deal. Getting recommended to attend to Top Gun, Fighter Weapons School or WTI (Marines) takes a helluva lot more time than two years. I wish I had known (before I spent 6 years getting the nod) that I could have done it in under a week. Probably gives out a set of AF wings when you're done. (Naval Aviator wings would take an additional week.) -------- Keith McKinley 700HS KFIT Read this topic online here: http://forums.matronics.com/viewtopic.php?p=255290#255290

Keith, We can debate the value of AF vs Navy over a few beers! But when it comes to ANG..AD AF, Marines, and Navy all come calling. We get the best of the best! Are you good enough? Doc -----Original Message----- From: owner-yak-list-server@matronics.com [mailto:owner-yak-list-server@matronics.com] On Behalf Of keithmckinley Sent: Thursday, July 30, 2009 6:40 PM Subject: Yak-List: Re: LoPresti Fury Top Gun at AirVenture Booth 333 Getting recommended to attend to Top Gun, Fighter Weapons School or WTI (Marines) takes a helluva lot more time than two years.

AT one time YES, according to the USMC. Hell, I even fooled the ANG into taking me on for a few years too! Kinda reminds me of that old story: As new hires at Delta we were going through training in the same building as the Flight Attendants. On particular day when we actually got to fraternize, a young (probably blonde) F/A inquired about our training. "10 weeks" she was told. Her reply "you mean I could have been a pilot if I just stayed 6 more weeks" Sheeesh!
