From: "vincent" Do you have informations about Yak 11. Difficult to fly? Maintenance? Other important things to know ? Read this topic online here: http://forums.matronics.com/viewtopic.php?p=256118#256118 ________________________________ Message 2 _____________________________________ Time: 03:46:23 PM PST US From: "SC" Subject: Re: Yak-List: FAA RegistrationFAA Registration Thanks Richard. I apologise that this subject is only of limited interest to the US citizen members of these Lists. I may have found the answer under FAR Section 47.9 which states that a Corporation owned by a non-US citizen can register an N-aircraft if at least 60% of its flying time is within the US. This will certainly apply to my Experimental YAK ! I have passed this to Montana Corporate who handle my US Company. To the gentleman who suggested I become a US citizen - unfortunately this seems impossible for a retired person even although we have sufficient means to live here and just spend money. A B2 Visa allows stays of up to 6 months but does not specify the period one has to be outside the US before commencing another 6 months period. This seems to up to the interpretation of those rather serious Border Control guys at the arrival airport. I will of course not comment on the fear of falling ill here in the US - we pray that we are well enough to clamber on board an aircraft back to home - dear old Britain with its wonderful health care system which does work despite its detractors. We do love our time in the US. ________________________________ Message 3 _____________________________________ Time: 04:44:13 PM PST US Subject: Re: Yak-List: FAA RegistrationFAA Registration From: cjpilot710@aol.com Well every illegal Mexican gets free health care in this country.=C2- On e just has to go to the local emergency room at the hospital to see that. =C2- Hell they have their kids born here for free.=C2- Than we give th e kids citizenship.=C2- One only has to go the different hospital along the border to check that out.=C2- I see it here in Florida all the time .. Two years ago I had the dubious pleasure of trying to pass a kidney stone at the Sherry hospital in England while on a trip there.=C2- Every one of my room mates hated the system.=C2- Including the poor guy whose blo od test they lost 4 times!=C2- What I did like was the tea cart that cam e by every couple of hours.=C2- The bill was $1,070 for a 2 night stay, x rays,=C2-and drugs.=C2- "Cash please" before I could leave.=C2- They sent me a bill for 77,000 pounds (it was suppose to be 7.7 pounds) and it took me a year and half to (and the help of my English friends) st raighten out that mess. I'd love to get every border puke who handles visas to at least know the law.=C2- They just put a good English friend back on a plane to England and penalized him to stay out until Oct, because he is green card was not to start until a week later, and he was here on a visitors visa.=C2- He has been working at our foundation as a volunteer, for years, playing by the rules until some dimwit interprets=C2-a rule=C2-a different way. =C2- I love the English.=C2- The Battle of Britain, is to me0is the first=C2 -of the turning points of WW2.=C2- You did it alone with little or no help from us.=C2- But it just may be the English blood mixed with my Am erican Indian blood.=C2- BTW my Indian ancestors fought with the colonia ls against the "redcoat". Sorry to pontificate guys. Jim "Pappy" Goolsby Thanks Richard.
