Hi All,
I know that a few of us on the Blog have Blue Mountain EFIS units.? Blue Mountain
is of course out of business and doesn't answer their phone.? Does anyone know
if it's possible to get Jeppsen updates for their Blue Mountain EFIS units??
I have spoken to Jeppsen twice and they say they no longer support Blue Mt.?
Is there any other alternative?

Don,
Like you, I have a BM in my CJ. I believe I was one of the real early
guys to buy one. This year at OSH I was talking to a guy who said he knew the
BM owner and that while he didn't plan on producing anymore units, he
would keep doing the up dates. Who knows for sure.
Mine has started to give me problems. The GPS part has failed. I am
actively looking to replace mine. With what I have not decided. I will pick
someone who is going to be around for a while.
To bad in a way. BM kind of got the aviation world started into EFIS.
Most likely BM needed a business man running rather than an engineer.

Well I usually don't like to report back on other peoples systems but I have now
seen three broken SA systems pouring oil onto the ramp at three airshows, the
latest being the Wendover show.? To me using plastic fitting, tanks and hose
clamps in an aircraft is just not correct.? So buyer beware because the VAL
personnel and the military base powers that be take a dim view of? gallons of
smoke oil pouring onto their ramp.
For your info we only use aircraft grade components in our smoke systems, than
just means the best, no plastic.? The pump we use is the Flojet 2130-312A in 24volt.

SA fixed the plastic fitting issue several years ago.
I've had mine installed for 3 years - about 25 airshows or so - with no problems.
