And Yes once again I had 2 surprises. I have one fuel gauge giving me a wrong info. It works like this. I am with full fuel (180 litters on my 18T). At the beginning my gauge on the left shows 90l but on the right 40l...that's wrong. I know it's wrong it cost me enough money. 1,7 Euros per litter here in France. Well you will tell me that's Paris...Wrong i am in the north of Paris. 50 km in the north, and here it is about an hour of driving.... So, back to the subject, after about half an hour of flight both gauges works fine with a good indication. Today I switched the two gauges. Just to check if it was coming from the instrument panel or the gauge itself. It happens that now I have two wrong figures. Well not to bad on the good gauges (which is now on the right tank...are you following!!!) but same wrong 40l indication on the left tank (with the right gauge... ok it is a little tricky...). The gauges looks fine with a plastic foam floatter. Does anyone have had this problem already??? Does anyone knows how they works and if it is possible to repair it?? And perhaps an electrical schematic????? Well any help would be welcome. And if anyone of you happen to pass by Paris France I certainly will be more than happy to show you the region from above. Thank very much and see you on the next subject!!! In France it is 11h30pm but you are just waking up, so good day to all. Now I was checking my fuel gauges up there in the sky and lining up I came to the final. On short, I reduced all, and I had a surprise, the throttle did not want to go under 50%. So I continued and landed at 50%...so now I can tell you that it is possible to land on a grass strip of 700m at 50% full fine pitch and stop at the end... I went at 50% to make some fuel, and stopped the engine. Then, I started again to taxi to my hangar and made some engine runup. An dthen surprise, it worked fine. I do not know what happened, but it is a little frightenning. Not being able to reduce.. Is this something that already happenned to someone?? Anyone have an idea of what happenned.??? O now I am finished for the weekend, so good weekend to all and fly safe Didier HA-JAC 18T -------- Didier Tiger YAK18T Member of Commemorative Air Force French Wing Read this topic online here: http://forums.matronics.com/viewtopic.php?p=268350#268350 ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Other Matronics Email List Services ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Post A New Message yak-list@matronics.com UN/SUBSCRIBE http://www.matronics.com/subscription List FAQ http://www.matronics.com/FAQ/Yak-List.htm Web Forum Interface To Lists http://forums.matronics.com Matronics List Wiki http://wiki.matronics.com Full Archive Search Engine http://www.matronics.com/search 7-Day List Browse http://www.matronics.com/browse/yak-list Browse Digests http://www.matronics.com/digest/yak-list Browse Other Lists http://www.matronics.com/browse Live Online Chat! http://www.matronics.com/chat Archive Downloading http://www.matronics.com/archives Photo Share http://www.matronics.com/photoshare Other Email Lists http://www.matronics.com/emaillists Contributions http://www.matronics.com/contribution ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- These Email List Services are sponsored solely by Matronics and through the generous Contributions of its members.
