However what it does is disable your accelerator circuit. I use the .9mm jet and only get a marginal stumble. The price you pay by disabling the circuit is to lose top end power as the accelerator circuit is open with full throttle. The difference is some manifold pressure and horsepower. If the carb is properly adjusted, and the engine tuned, you will rarely see any stumble. I could also say that if the problem shows up mainly in formation flight, your problem may be one of wingman technique. Anticipate, don't get caught in the sucked position when lead turns away from you and you suddenly cram the throttle forward. The other scenario is the go-around. that is a maneuver that should aways be executed smoothly in a complex airplane. Just some opinion here. I do fly a 52 with Russian avionics removed and ballast weight in place. The values I found for CG (I think from the yakuk site) are; -12.91 to -6.77 utility and -9.36 to -6.77 for acro. When I fly solo, full fuel, 12 qts oil, I'm at -13.47!! I'll definitely be more aware of whats going on during the flare Read this topic online here: http://forums.matronics.com/viewtopic.php?p=268811#268811 ________________________________ Message 5 _____________________________________ Time: 09:50:45 PM PST US Subject: Yak-List: Looking for info from pilots who have used TruTrac APs in a CJ. From: "Genzlinger, Reade" Hal: I just purchased a Yk-52TD that the prior owner set up with a DigiTrak II AP from TruTrac. It is coupled to a Garmin 430 and seems to work quite well. I've only tested it locally (no cross country or IFR approaches yet!). the servos handle pitch and roll just fine (i.e. pretty smooth and stable). Not sure which servos are installed - I believe Cliff Coy at Gesoco did the install. I've only had the TD for 4 weeks. Been spending most flights doing aerobatics! The stock 52 is fun but this thing is great.
