Gang,
What Craig posted was an internal memo...you will not likely be getting anything
in the mail. I have spoken with the investigators of the Riggs incident (yes,
over a year ago) and they told me this was coming.
What you can expect is an increased likelihood of a ramp check. Have your paperwork
in order, and know Part 43. This directive currently applies to the Western
Region only (so far). Frankly, they do not have the manpower to accomplish
their objectives (check the records of every EE aircraft in 2 years), but needless
to say, we are a more prominent target on their radar and should be prepared
accordingly.

I'm curious about your comment "and know Part 43". What, in your
opinion, must everyone know about Part 43 except for Part 43, paragraph
1.b.?
