Both were very young (under 30), both were USAF pilots flying UAV's in
the CaANG at March AFB. He owned the 52, she owned a share in a Cessna
120.

Anyone know this pilot?

Two die when Soviet-era plane crashes near Redlands
February 8, 2010 | 3:37 pm
Federal investigators were responding Monday to a single-engine
airplane crash that killed two people 10 miles north of Redlands in San
Bernardino County, authorities said.
The Yakovlev YAK-52 aircraft crashed about 12:50 p.m. in a wash
after taking off from Redlands Airport, according to preliminary
information released by the Federal Aviation Administration.
A man and a woman on board were killed, the FAA said. Their names
were not released.
The Yakovlev was originally designed as a Soviet trainer and
acrobatic aircraft. The pilot had intended to return to Redlands
Airport, authorities said.
Investigators with the FAA and the National Transportation Safety
Board were heading to the crash site Monday afternoon.
The plane was owned by a Riverside man, according to FAA
registration records.

Yes! Or so I've been told by those who have the great privilege of living in parts
hospitable to those little buggers. Fix some wire mesh to it. While you
are at it, filing it flat also appears to help with the fuel imbalance problem.

Great feedback. It's been very cold for us here and working in a freezing hanger
is not attractive. Marcus and I will trouble shoot today hopefully and I will
post our findings. BTW, Jon and I checked my wobble pump briefly and noticed
it was not pumping, hmmmmm. Hope its a quick fix.
Will post my findings. Thanks guys

Check the header tank vent- it may be blocked and preventing the wobble pump from

Subject: | Whirl Wind Props |
G'Day All,
A friend of mine asked me if I know anything about the Whirl Wind Vped
Russian 2 blade V-530 prop blades as he is thinking of ordering a set
for his 18T.
I know of them and have had a look at their site.
Have any of you fitted these blades and what was the result?
Aussie is a long way from the U.S. to buy something like these blades
without feedback as we know of no one in Australia that has a set.
Any feedback will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks and cheers,
