Mark, I have recently started using this little guy.. 1080p , and EXTREMELY flexible in where you can put it. Have mounted on helmet, on the wings, under the wings, tail, just using the suction cup mount.. the last test for it was on the COWL of #3 of Aeroshell during the night show.. it will stay anywhere you put it.. http://vholdr.com/contourhd/helmetcam From: owner-yak-list-server@matronics.com [mailto:owner-yak-list-server@matronics.com] On Behalf Of Mark Davis Sent: Monday, April 26, 2010 7:43 PM Subject: Yak-List: Cockpit mounted video cameras What is everyone using for small video equipment as either a helmet camera mount or gun camera mount? I'm not looking for anything to make professional videos with, just something to record formation/extended trail/maybe a little ACM then analyze under the influence of cold beverages afterward. An audio input would be nice but not a necessity. Durability, ease of operation in the cockpit and size/weight are the most important things I'm looking for. Thanks, Mark Davis N44YK

Mark, I have not purchased one yet but this is the one the David McGirt recommends. The Contourhd 1080p. He has made some pretty good videos using these cameras. I use a Samsung mini cam with a lipstick external camera. The battery is only good for about 30 - 45 min and it is not overly user friendly either. This is one slid on and one slide off. 4 lipstick cameras Feed into small multiplexor Single out from multiplexor to a portable 40 GB HD. Intercom wired into multiplexor for audio. Both multiplexor and harddrive have ship's power. Total weight incluing wiring - about 4 pounds. A 30 minute flight takes up about 400mb. I can store about a 50 minute flight on a CD for the passenger to watch on any computer with Quicktime or RealPlayer. I have about $600 in the system. What year is your CJ? ------Original Message------ From: Pete Fowler Sender: owner-yak-list-server@matronics.com ReplyTo: yak-list@matronics.com Subject: Yak-List: Re: How old is too old? Sent: Apr 26, 2010 8:05 PM This is pretty hard to photograph. Here's one photo and a link to some more on line. What I'm looking at are the "dents" that are on the flat panels between the rivets. There is one set that run around the fuselage just in front of the horizontal stab. In the online gallery, you can click the photos to see them bigger. I've seen similar dents in similar locations one one side or the other on some Nanchangs but not in this quantity. http://pictureposter.allbrand.nu/pictures/nasa+racer/Nanchang+tail/ -------- N4183E http://nanchangcjs.yuku.com/ Read this topic online here: http://forums.matronics.com/viewtopic.php?p=295797#295797 Attachments: http://forums.matronics.com//files/p1000790_191.jpg Sent on the Sprint Now Network from my BlackBerry

I have a 1962 CJ with about 4300TT... I have the same dents and have seen many others with the same. Does anyone out there have a 1962 or older? CJ-6 production was started in 1962. As far as I know there was only one CJ here in the US that was built in 1962. It belonged to Jim Plumy I bel ieve.
