Gotta learn how to "send a message"....sorry What is the torque for the cylinder base nut/stud combination Does anyone have advice on how to keep them tight.....anyone using Loctite? - Which One? Are any particular cylinders prone to leak at the base? Thanks in advance Roger B. =0A=0A=0A

300-320 in/lb. is what I have read here. For some of the studs on the bottom cylinders you will have to remove the oil sump. Use locktabs to secure the nuts and torque-seal to be sure nothing moves. The nuts are 14mm=9/16" so you can use an ordinary cylinder base wrench (after a bit of grinding around the perimeter so it will fit in the tight space). Doug has the locktabs and sump gaskets. -------- Mike Bell Elk Grove, CA avbell2(at)comcastdotnet Read this topic online here: http://forums.matronics.com/viewtopic.php?p=324516#324516

Guys, has anyone tried extending the lower gear door on a CJ6, so that it totally covers the gear when closed? If so, please share your results. Thanks in advance. Read this topic online here: http://forums.matronics.com/viewtopic.php?p=324525#324525
